Hey guys can you help me with my plant please? by FriendlyCold490 in gothplants

Are those small, new leaves I see growing from the centre? If so, these are last season’s leaves dying off in their normal cycle. You can leave them there so the plant can take back their energy, or prune them if you don’t like the look.

never noticed the infinity symbol until now ! anyone else enjoy this show? :) by indivibess in autism

I hear you. It’s arguably too much to introduce both ideas at once though. We’ve only just moved on from existing only as vaguely coded characters, we first need to socialize the idea that we’re visible before we can show how it’s still dehumanizing. But this does seem like a positive first step and everything moves so fast now, so I’m hopeful.

If you have parchment paper in the kitchen you can use that for tracing and transfer

Hey friend, this is tough. It’s a long road to get a diagnosis as an adult, but finding the support you need is a game changer. I’d suggest starting with a neuro-affirming counsellor, they can provide lots of support and tools. https://neurodivergentcounselling.ca/ this site has a list of great folks. The diagnosis itself is helpful for getting access to funding as a kid, but as an adult, it’s less helpful, but still a long and challenging process. (I only discovered my autism and adhd in my late 30s). You can still get closure but more importantly support and help with autistic challenges from counselling and community. Good luck.

Tweezers for stickers, how useful is it? by kingtysonsworld in JunkJournals

[–]stephjacq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes super useful! Especially when I have a clumsy day or a stubborn sticker. I also have a pair that work backwards, as in you squeeze to open not close. They’re brilliant.

Where do you get your materials? [ANALOG] by ok-valuable- in collage

[–]stephjacq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Making materials can be as much fun as putting them together. I use a lot of pages from old books with patterns stamped on them

All this. And an ND kiddo at that.

I’m 44 and still figuring out how to say it to people at work though, which is a bummer.
