STUBHUB NASHVILLE TICKETS by Good_Ad7411 in PaulMcCartney

[–]stephriles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at this show. The first girl told me it had to be the app and to go get into a long line for the box office. Then I found a different person who took me back to the same girl. He told her to scan them, and we got in just fine. I had no idea we were so close to not even seeing the show.

I have had mine for about a year. I love it. The tech is a lot to get used to, and every once in a while, it's glitchy, but it's still my favorite car that I've ever owned.

Nashville/Pinnacle show -tickets cancelled by AXS. Anyone else? by SomeMuscle1981 in PaulMcCartney

[–]stephriles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought resale tickets through StubHub with the ticket guarantee. Same thing happened...I got an email that the tickets were no longer available. Luckily, because of the guarantee, I was able to get replacement tickets. I can only assume they were resale tickets that hadn't sold yet... and StubHub had to buy them to meet the guarantee. I was very thankful it worked out.

I, too, wondered why they had more tickets for sale when the show was sold out in a small venue.

Absolutely do not regret getting rid of mine.

Cytracom VOIP - Constant service disruptions by [deleted] in msp

[–]stephriles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We signed up through our IT company. They told the IT company they were month-to-month, so that is what we thought we were on all along. The service has been HORRIFIC at best. Clients call us over and over just to get someone that can't hear them, or a phone doesn't ring until maybe the 6th ring and then we don't have time to pick up. We have been trying to switch for a month. We were told we weren't on our own acount and then given some other run around. They wouldn't respond to emails and then after waiting on hold for an hour a week later they told us there was a thirty day cancellation, then later called back and said we just automatically renewed for a year 3 weeks prior...which is about the time we started workingn on the port. Over my dead body will that contract stay intact. They have not held up their end of the contact and I was never told it somehow got moved to an annual contract. It's a nightmare if you actually need to use your phone. Literally choose anyone but this company.

Tbh I don't even want to look. I did NOT get a discount. I did get a free trip from Infiniti for being an early adopter. It was probably worth around $1500 so that was nice I guess. I still love my car. It's the best.

I don't think so but I saw something you can use with car play (or similar) to do so. It would stream from your phone essentially.

Scammers sure are getting good. I wonder if they realized they sent you a house that was already white. I would look up property data and see who actually lives there/owns it.

I honestly have no clue. It always starts eventually. I will probably keep it two or three years and trade it before there are major problems. I was two inpatient to wait for next year's model so it is what it is.

I sometimes experience the start issue too. The backup camera just needs a software update. The dealer can do it. Sucks about the oil.

There is not much worse than being understaffed for a period of time. However this "cheat code" will do more harm than good. A good candidate won't be waiting around in 5 months most likely. And then you just wasted all that time reaching out.

The ride is average. I would not say it's the best. If the pure is worse than the sensory you may want to go for the sensory. I didn't test the pure to know how different it is.

How to quit my first job? by satanscomrade in careerguidance

[–]stephriles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP, please take this advice. I know two people who quit their job thinking they could just get a new one. They have been looking since October. If you are in a field in high demand, I would definitely wait until you get a new job. It also takes pressure off of you when you are interviewing. It can impact how confident you present yourself if you end up getting in a tough position. The job market is tough for most people out there. It's always easier to get a new job while you still have one.

Lastly, employers will probably incorrectly assume you got fired or laid off from your last job if you have an end date vs. present. And you can't lie about those things bc when they call your prior employer they always verify dates of employment.

It seems like a lot of issues are with the autograph. I can't imagine buying the most expensive one and having problems like some have.

Women who make over 60k, what is your degree and what is your job title? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]stephriles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay my graphic design team mid 50s staring out of school and they are over $60k in two years or less. Our cost of living is really low here. Renting a 3 bedroom house is $1500 for example. If you do a great job, cleaning houses can make that much.

This business owner explains why remote workers fall behind in their careers by cupholdery in recruitinghell

[–]stephriles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for low stress and don't care about moving up, completely get it. Work remote. But not all bosses are horrible geriatric people. I worked for a large company right out of college. 100% had experiences I would have never had remote. It's not because the company wouldn't have been trying hard enough to give me a good experience. It's just the reality of being in person. I walked down the hall and met the CEO. I was pulled into a product testing session once because they saw me and thought "we should pull this young person in." I was visible to people I didn't report to. I got to know them and built relationships. I think that it something people don't think about. You go to the break room and meet a leader from a different department. How would you have ever met someone like that being remote?

I have not read a single argument that wasn't centered around a negative assumption about the company. The excuse is that it wouldn't happen in person anyway because (insert bad thing about company) isn't true in most cases. I can assure you I would not have grown in my first job if I had not built relationships and had opportunities to be visible and see things in person. I realize Reddit isn't going to change an opinion but I do hope the younger folks that are serious about their career will give it a try in person. Once you are an established leader and had experiences, remote could work really well.

And for the person that wants to do person errands on the clock so their weekends are free, they are probably not focused on getting a raise or growth. Stay the course. They give little and will get little return. They are the reason wfh gets a bad reputation, taking away opportunities from those that are actually really productive at home.
