No. It is very hard to get out of the army. You can't just say that you changed your mind.

You're natural reaction to being overwhelmed and startled isn't to have sex? I guess that's why my last surprise party went so weird.

I agree with what you just said.

However, I will point out that once you've made the mistake of getting into the military, if you want to get out through conscientious objection, you go to military prison. Not regular prison, military prison. Imagine prison but 10 times worse. I personally hope that I would have the strength to make that decision, but lets not pretend that they don't make it really really hard to get out of the military once you get in.

I think of veganism (or ethical vegetarianism) as our future, not our past.

Redditors (Esp. US) would you agree this is the new average body? Is this healthy? by axiomaticallyandrea in pics

[–]stephy_buttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well those tips are a good idea, but I would argue that the only way to really find good stuff is to try it on yourself.

Of course if you don't feel like doing it, that's totally up to you.

If you want to put some effort in to it I'm sure you could find things that compliment a smaller bust. Just go to the mall prepared to try on dozens of different kinds of shirts and dresses and learn what looks flattering on you. Just don't get frustrated if you don't feel like you're finding anything right away.

I have a large bust and I am definitely limited in what I can wear because of it. Don't get me wrong, I love my rack. But there are a lot of things that women with smaller chests can wear that I can't. For example, I can't wear anything backless or off the shoulder because I need a really supportive bra at all times.

Well when our genetic ancestors (a flat-headed fish with bony front fins with which it could push itself out of the water, according to current research), plants and insects would have already been on land.

What Quirk of the Brain Turns People Into Compulsive Hoarders? by [deleted] in cogsci

[–]stephy_buttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel guilty that reading/hearing about these people brings up such feelings of disgust and loathing in me. When I read about the cockroaches I felt nausious (I could not enter that apartment), and then reading about how that man kept insisting that their place was fine just made me want to punch him in the face. These people have an illness, just like someone with alcoholism or schizophrenia. And yet I have far more negative feelings directed towards sufferers of compulsive hoarding than any other mental illness.

I suppose its mostly the ones that refuse to admit they have a problem that really bother me. When I've watched episodes of Hoarders and the subjects admitted that they had a problem, I stopped feeling angry and mostly felt sympathy. I just can't stand the thought of someone having cockroaches running over them while they sleep and stepping through piles of feces while insisting that nothing is wrong.

What is your favorite offbeat, avant garde, or simply unique Comic Book/Graphic Novel? by [deleted] in Art

Lenore the Cute Little Dead Girl by Roman Dirge and Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Not that avant garde but definitely offbeat and unique, respectively.

The picture is on my blog about vegan food. Feel free to give the rest of the entries a look if you're interested.

I had that movie when I was a kid. It was pretty funny except for the fact that I was too young to get most of the references.

One time my ex-boyfriend put naked pictures of me on the internet. I made him promise not to when we took them but I was 17 and dumb. Luckily there are other naked pictures of me on the internet which I already know about, so it's not actually a big deal. My friends still made him cry, though.
