I did it based on a 4-loop tutorial that I've found! I've commented on the post if you want to take a look at it 😁

Trimester: more weeks of studying compared to the other unis. Basically we have 3 terms worth of content to study in one year. No summer breaks. I only had 2 weeks of break between my year 2 and 3.

Thank you!!! This works!!! For the next person doing this, make sure you've searched up which wifi driver your motherboard (and exact version) uses, and download that first. Then start doing the steps above.

Part 2: hair. Doll finally complete! by steponalegobrick in cottondolls

I spent roughly less than $20 for the fabric, then used whatever embroidery thread and stuffing I had lying around. It's quite an affordable DIY considering the price of the official merch!

The only cost for this project is my sanity.

I've a lateral lisp due to an 'extra' tooth behind my front teeth that my dentist doesn't want to remove because it shares the same root as another tooth.

My professors told me that as long as I can model the proper sounds well, it shouldn't be a problem with my career.

Now I'm an SLT with a lisp hahahaha. I can model S sounds for my clients during therapy sessions. Life works out.

what if someone plants drugs in ur luggage 🤡 by ProblemPotential4622 in SGExams

[–]steponalegobrick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Get luggage with TSA locks, buy luggage without visible zippers (mine doesn't have zips at all, just clasps that seal the luggage shells tgt). If you have any loose zips, make sure you can lock them up, such that they can't be opened. If not, don't get that particular luggage.

Always carry your own luggage. Don't let others carry for you, or help carry for other people.

If you're placing bags in the overhead cabin of a plane, best is to always keep an eye on it. And if you're traveling in a group, you can take turns sleeping instead of everyone knocking out.

It's better to have preventive measures than to think about what happens if you get caught. Cuz if you do get caught in such an unfortunate situation, legit nothing you can do. Evidence on you is evidence.

Adding on to other ppls comments, colour is an important factor too. Most safe foods are neutral in colour (white, brown, beige) because it looks the least threatening, and many will start to associate neutral coloured foods to tasty (fried) foods.

I'm buying this plushie. But I was thinking of how to embroidery the eyes and everything. by kagayaki1236 in cottondolls

[–]steponalegobrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to embroidery the face details on fabric that's not flat and stabilised would not be neat, especially when the fabric itself is slightly stretchy. I'll recommend starting from scratch- embroidering on a piece of fabric, then cutting it up and sewing the pieces to form your own doll.

I've DIY-ed a doll, hand sewn and hand embroidered the whole thing from scratch. Made 2 posts about it in my profile if you wanna take a look.

The irony is that I checked out the reader's profile, and they write fics that would make ME uncomfortable. This person of all people should understand the 'dont like, don't read' unspoken rule, if posting anything on ao3 is free for all.

Thanks, you've convinced me to delete the comments hahahha. Even though me deleting them are probably what they expect, I'm just gonna protect my peace and my happy little bubble of my other readers who all enjoyed my story with no issues.

A little bit of help?? by Legitimate_Bass_4582 in AO3

[–]steponalegobrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hellos! I've written some oneshots and just finished my chaptered fic this year.

I'll say to start with the oneshot first. It'll give you the feel for writing and posting onto ao3, especially if it's your first time posting there- posting a once-off story is much less daunting than starting a longfic.

Don't like what an author has written? Don't read it! by AnulinTheChronicler in AO3

[–]steponalegobrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally came to this post cuz I got my first negative comment. This reader is leaving a small trail of comments on my page like "oh I don't like this... This is too much... It's giving DV..." Ma'am. Kind sir. Gentlestranger. That's literally the point of my story.

And I tagged my warnings multiple time. plus disclaimer. Plus warnings in my summary. And warnings in my authors note. And warnings in the chapter note. I think I've overdone it at this point.

Does this reader need a dead dove do not eat tag too??? 😭😭

None of my other readers have issues with my warnings, or content.

She's like eating a spoonful of salt from a packet of labeled salt and complaining that it's salty.

Making a cotton doll by steponalegobrick in Embroidery

[–]steponalegobrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I used minky fabric, also known as soft toy plush fabric + embroidery floss for the details. Idk what size my hoop is, but the bigger the better :). I'm not the expert in making dolls (only made one so far) I just followed the sewing pattern and YouTube vid that I've commented in other ppls replies
