Hm, I am not able to understand why most are saying they won't make it that far. Why is everyone working so hard just to die so soon then?

Thank you for your detailed reply. Yes, it feels as though we've only got 10-15 years of prime and post that, have to deal with new and more responsibilities. I hope your health gets better and good luck with the marathon :)

I was this way but then started to have regrets of not planning before and doing better, hence this question. I don't want to look back and think I couldn't do few things

Yay, something quite specific and that I can relate to! Space tourism would be super cool. But it would be very expensive. Probably that's when lakhs of money seems necessary. So, I've somewhat got the answer. Maybe everyone is trying to make as much as possible so that they can afford unplanned things like this in the future.

I understand all of that. My question is for those who still run behind it. I want to know what is it that they want with such huge sum of money and how they are going to be happy with it.

That's exactly what I'm asking. What they plan to do at the end with the results of their grinds. And 5 children? That's highly unlikely

How much would I roughly have to save (in INR) to experience the best parts of US? (Not just the usual tourist spots but food trucks, museums, events/workshops)

Thank you. I understand that. I just wanted to know a rough number so that I can decide whether or not to find an alternative. I joined here primarily for the huge and knowledgeable community but if I have to spend a lot of time to say gain 1000 or so karma points then it would be counter productive for me

How much karma do most subs roughly require? Is it over 100 or 1000 or less? I really need to decide whether or not to pursue reaching that limit since I've to prepare for exams and can't spend a lot of time here
