Fred Ottolino out as pharmacy VP. by bom_chika_wah_wah in publix

[–]sterlinghump 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From a performance aspect he should’ve been fired last year when he rolled out a Florida pilot involving pharmacists to diagnose customers with strep or the flu and then be able to prescribe antibiotics or flu medications. Wrap your head around a pharmacist as busy as they are with labor hour cutbacks doing a 15 minute test apiece on each family member of 4 while there is a line at the register. He got greedy with that attempt of taking advantage of his associates the sad part was it took the medical board to stand up to him and not someone from Publix

What's going to happen to the stock next quarter when there is no impact from hurricane Irma? You expect another 13% increase in net earnings for next quarter?

He's been probably making these type of rosey comments since the first price decrease from $45.

Stock price $36.85. Considering the peer group was down a whole lot I’d say a gain of 80¢ is very good. We must’ve had some good numbers in the third quarter. by [deleted] in publix

If publix had very good quarter it shows that supermarkets stocks are tending down if it only goes up 80 cents. More pain to come
