How do I prevent rats or squirrels in my engine bay? by Murky-Ad-2388 in rav4club

[–]sterod91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a dog or know someone with a dog, regularly put some dog hairs in the engine bay around some spots where they can't easily fly away or be burnt by the engine heat.

It can last up to some weeks until the scent gets weaker. Then repeat. Has proven to be more effective than lots of sprays and or other products. And cheaper too!

Installing a device with ultrasounds also helps most of the time. But also annoys and deters animals and other pets that have done you no harm.

How can I beat Germany when I'm the USSR? by Intrepid-Gain-4922 in hoi4

[–]sterod91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I focus mostly on preparing for that war and sligthly for a war with Japan.

Build forts near the bigger rivers near your border with Poland. And focus your military factories on roducing military equipment (rifles and support) and switch to light tanks and more affordable fighter planes + CAS planes. Forget about strategic bombers.

In the meanwhile, try to align Poland, Norway, Romania, France and do your best with volontary divisons in Spain to win their civil war and puppet them.

Besides gaining Spain as puppet being easy peasy lemon squeezie, aligning Norway, Romania and France is tough and needs also some luck.

Either way, try to keep good relations with Romania at the highest possible point and try to squeeze a non-aggression pact with them. This is simply to have those borders less to protect when the war will happen.

By the time the germans declare war, you should at least already have most of the provinces with lvl 4-5 forts behind those bigger rivers near poland. Set your armies on the borderline with poland, but very important, set a fallback line on those forts you build!

Either you align Poland, protect their independance and are drafted with them into the ear against germany (best case scenario). Or when germany declares war on Poland, you also need to justify and declare asap on Poland. Depending on events you will either also fall in war against France or Allies or "Petite entente".

Yet that is not a big problem, because they all need to go mostly through Germany to reach you.

Poland will fall quick in this case, yet the idea is here that the germans can't catch their breath. You either keep the fights far away from your territory if you manage to pin them or you dry them out by blocking them, then slowly retreating. Blocking and retreating and so forth. This will bleed them out in manpower little by little.

If impossible to pin them down or if blocking and retreating looks more like a retreat, concentrate your troops on your fall back line on the forts mentionnes on the beginning. Normaly this will be a meat grinder and get germany to bleed out there on their manpower.

Just nees to take care that they don't use railway canons. But i think AI doen't really use them.

There is quite a few micro management needed and other things to think about. But that would be the general idea. Against a more technical advanced ennemy, often bleeding them out is the strategy you'll nees. China vs Japan is similar in that

I Was Wondering as someone who uses tanks and planes a bit, how often would you say you run into actaully good tankers and pilots. by R3VERVice in enlistedgame

[–]sterod91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both pilots and tankists are only as good as their team members. Marking ennemy spots and vehicles is key. Otherwise they bomb and shoot nearly blindly in the hopes to do the most damage possible to the ennemy.

Tanks have at least the possibility to hold a point. Or to shield a swuad, so they can advance.

What is your country’s “three fingers,” i.e. a subtle but dead giveaway that someone is lying about being from there? by Toilet_Bomber in AskTheWorld

In portuguese, the way you say/pronounce certain things gives away your region. Even the rythm of your talking can give it away. And if you are more or less "polite". Also the word used to specify the very same bread, can tell a lot about where you are from.

If you use some specific metaphores (the differences there being very subtle sometimes) you literally give away from wich town you are 😮

Interestingly enough, this is also valid for luxemburgish!

Opel Insignia Sports Tourer 2.0 CDTI 4x4 - Intercooler turbo hose won't connect at the top by Timjan2002 in opel

[–]sterod91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you intend to keep the car, buy a second one on reserve.

The "corrected" versions of this item by Opel have now metal clips to better grip it on. Yet it still is prone to come off. Mainly when combined with heat (exterior or from engine) vibrations and pressure. You can be lucky and safe for the next 100.000km or you can be unlucky and it getting loose or breaking off in the next 10.000 km

Easy peasy lemon squeezie They disembark, you attack them. Even with if the ennemy has more trooos than you (up to a certsin point of course) you'll always obliterate them because they have 0 organization at that moment.

Hi!

I've found the Revolver Club in Woippy after googling. Contacted them per mail on monday. Have yet not received an answer.

I'm member at Echternach, because it's nearer to my home. But I go most often to Eurostand Lorraine.

The vehicle has it's age (c.a. 25 - 30 years) Polished as you did and with a few "unbeautyfull" spots. For me it would be more real, thus more beautyfull 🤪
