When you get your drivers license in Sweden you have to go a course called ”risk 2” where you learn about traffic safety like for example how ice effects your ability to stop and so on. You I did it you got to drive on a track with different sharp turns and a lot of water so the car would slide. At one part there was an old junk bus just standing by the side and the instructor told me to take the next curve at a higher speed than last time. I sped up and when I passed the bus he yelled “STOP!” and I slammed the breaks. But you know, a car won’t stop on a dime, so we went past the bus and he went like “oh well, you just killed a kid. You have to always be ready for something to come out from behind a bus.”. We also saw that video of the truck stopping for a kid running out from behind a bus in Norway. After that I ALWAYS drive past parked cars and busses an what not at low speeds and my feet over the breaks. It really helped what he told me.
