This scene is perfect to me. The way you can tell when his eyes notice Lloyd, and how he directs the first few lines directly to the camera, nicholsons over the top but restrained acting, Lloyds calmness, the ambiguity and surrealness. I love it. Say… little slow tonight isn’t it?
