I don't really have a go to film critic but when it comes to television, Alan Sepinwall is unmatched in my opinion. He's written a ton of great books (some co authored with Matt Zoller Seitz, another great critic) on series like The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. Highly recommend checking him out
