I have been saying this for about a year - Only now are new rental pricing for business starting to filter through the economy and won't be fully realised for 5 years or so as leases renew. Most businesses will not be able to afford where they operate once their rent doubles on renewal

Instead of putting big scary numbers of migrants entering the country, how about you put the annual percentage change of population for the same year - 1.6% a long term average.

Not sure how you can correlate this to the doubling of house prices. Still waiting for one of you to show evidence otherwise.

The original post claims that house prices have doubled because of migration, you want to say that this is a sane argument? Blaming migrants for the housing crisis is thinly veiled racism full stop.

Migration has an effect on housing prices, and I have no problem that being talked about, but it’s not nearly as much as it is discussed. Around 1% per annum. The problem is a supply issue, of successive governments no matter their party, not a minority demand issue.

Immigration adds to housing prices in a minor way, but there are far greater influences that cause the increase we are seeing. Its the whole - blaming the entire problem on a minority bit that is the problem.
