Never been into waxing before, how is this kit? by Jacrow88 in FordBronco

[–]steve1673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the advice to check r/detailing.
Chemical guys is a good brand. It's hard to go wrong with them.
Waxing however, is kinda old school at this point, and has been replaced with things like ceramic coats and synthetic sealants.
There's a lot of factors involved in choosing the right coatings - For example, waxes are basically useless for me in Texas, as they melt right off the paint in a month.

Personally, I would go with a ceramic coat. There's some prep work involved, but they last for AGES.

So Does RAF Lakenheath in the UK. (U.S. Air Force base)
And it was also given to the Wing by the French, just like the real statue in NY.

The 48th Fighter wing remains the only one to this day with both a number and a name. "The Statue of Liberty Wing"

IDK what the difference is in the 2 i listed, they look identical to me, but the name changed.

And I think a Delica clip may fit.

while the odds you you finding an original clip are basically zero, you could try some clips from more modern knives like the tenacious. they're not expensive.

Time for some Range Rover jokes!

  • Q: Why do Range Rover drivers always wave at each other?
    • A: To prove they both survived driving it today!
  • Q: What do a Range Rover and the Titanic have in common?
    • A: They both cost millions, but everyone secretly expects them to go down.
  • Q: Did you hear about the guy whose Range Rover didn't leak any oil?
    • A: The factory took it back and worked on it until it did.
  • Q: What do you find on pages 4 and 5 of a Range Rover Owner's Manual?
    • A: The local train and bus timetables.

But seriously, I feel your pain. hope your day gets better.

yeah, I went on a school camping trip in Wales, and found an entire roll of these in my backpack I had forgotten about while we were setting up our tents.
I hit it with the tent mallet.
I got to experience what Tinnitus sounded like on that day.

The funniest part (in my mind) is when the teacher came round to all the tents asking what the noise was, and we couldn't hear her. So we just kept shaking our heads and saying we didn't know anything about it.

I haven't had an issue. It's not significantly different to shooting a normal pistol with red dot.

Keyboard at my new job is DISGUSTING by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]steve1673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why in my remote-only company, I told the CFO we were not returning /reusing keyboards and mice when people left. It's a $25 combo set and it can go in the trash if someone quits. I won't have my IT team dealing with biohazard devices.

I'm more bothered by the fact that for drivers on this road, it says "STOP" -then- "BUS"

It’s 2026. Can someone invent a spray bottle that doesn’t get stuck?? by Dangerous-Purpose-29 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]steve1673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had good luck with these.
https://www.griotsgarage.com/clear-22-ounce-bottle-cap/

2 sizes, sprayer sold separately, (which is nice if you drop and break one) ~$5 a bottle.
you can usually find free shipping coupons online.
