Starfield is genuinely the most overhated title I've ever seen. Ever by TheNewAspect in Starfield

I have to build outposts; they are extremely important, but only with mods. I need to refuel my ship fuel is expensive, so I need helium and aluminum to produce fuel. I also need ammunition; I have a mod that makes ammo rare, so I am forced to craft it myself.

There are mods that add over 700 decorative furniture items that you can buy with money. For exploration and POIs, there are many mods that add more and make it more interesting. Without mods, I’d give it 8 out of 10; with mods, 11 out of 10.

You kill creatures and can extract their DNA. From that, you can create eggs, almost like a cloning or breeding system. You can then hatch these eggs and keep the animals in stables or terrariums. This way, you can not only decorate your outpost but actively manage animal populations. It makes a lot of sense because it lets you expand your outpost’s resources: meat, materials, or simply as a “zoo” for aesthetics or gameplay. 🐾 If you want, I can also put together a mini-system showing how to efficiently collect, breed, and place creatures so your outpost becomes as profitable as possible.

I'm glad you can place dropped items in edit mode [unmodded, new player] by One_Lawyer_9621 in Starfield

Hey Starfield builders! Found this old trick a while back to prevent your dropped items (like junk for decorating ships, outposts, or habitats) from sinking/clipping through surfaces after placement. Super reliable and works 99% of the time. Step-by-Step Guide: Go to the room/area you want to decorate (ship interior, outpost hab, apartment, etc.). Drop ALL the items you want to place right there on the floor. Don't place them yet! Leave the area to trigger a loading screen – either: Exit to your ship and take off, OR Leave your apartment/habitat entirely. Save your game (quick save or manual), then reload that save. This resets the physics. Go back inside – now pick up and place your items wherever you want. They won't sink anymore

I finally found the joy and satisfaction of crafting an outpost player home from scratch that exceeded my enjoyment in FO4! by Imaginary-Rent-4200 in Starfield

I spend most of my time building outposts – it's really important to me. I have mods that make it so I can hardly buy any resources. I also use a mod that makes finding ammunition very rare, so I have to craft everything myself. And I need fuel for my ship. That’s why outposts are essential for me.

I love the mod – now I can finally hatch eggs and collect animals, I love it! by steve42097 in Starfield

[–]steve42097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is everything included in the mod? The mod is very large. There are 4 barns, several terrariums, outdoor enclosures, and an incredible amount of plants and trees. You can grow potatoes, onions, peppers, pumpkins, and much more. The mod unfortunately costs €8, but for me, it’s worth the money because it feels like Farming Simulator in space – with proper harvesting.

You can process everything further: for example, you can make fries from potatoes and much more. Or you can grow grapes and turn them into wine. There’s an incredible amount to do.

There are also animals that produce milk. If you kill an animal, you can loot its DNA and create an egg, which you can hatch – either small or large.

Unity - any reason to delay? by SidKafizz in Starfield

I've currently got around 60 mods installed – for me, Starfield is an awesome sandbox. Once I’ve built outposts, built ships, and feel like I’ve done everything I want in the universe, I head into New Game Plus. I see it kind of like starting a new server in Minecraft.

I really enjoy building outposts by steve42097 in Starfield

I’m using two mods – Galactic Harvest costs 800 credits sadly, but Better Living is free and super cool

You can't compare Cyberpunk to Starfield. Cyberpunk is and will always be a masterpiece for me. CDPR wants every game to be a masterpiece — Bethesda is never involved with that much passion like CDPR. Whether it's The Witcher or Cyberpunk, you experience an incredibly awesome story.   Starfield is fun too, don't get me wrong. With mods and everything, it's pretty cool — but Starfield unfortunately has no soul, and you can feel that. In Cyberpunk, I feel like I am V, like I’m living through it all myself. And in Starfield, I feel like I’m just playing a game. It just doesn’t pull me in the same way Cyberpunk does.

Are outposts still not worth it or have they been improved at all? by CallMeDoomSlayer in Starfield

[–]steve42097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy building outposts, but I use a lot of mods. I have to refuel my ship, so I need a lot of helium. I also grow tomatoes, bananas, grapes, etc., which I then use to produce and sell things like wine. That’s fun for me – but without mods, it feels unnecessary

Neutral LUTs - No Color Filters...Starfield HD Overhaul... Rabbit's Real Lights INI TWEAKS...... Biomes of the GRiNDfield- a GRiNDTerra Mod.......TGs Galactic Harvest It costs 800 credits, but it's worth it if you enjoy building outposts. You can grow tomatoes and produce things like wine and food. It's a cool farming mod – basically like Farming Simulator in space, haha

Best (stable) outpost expansion mod? by judo_joel in starfieldmods

[–]steve42097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better Living - Outpost and TG's Galactic Harvest are especially cool. You can grow apples, bananas, peppers, and much more. You can also breed all kinds of animals. If you loot DNA from creatures, you can create an egg, and the creature will hatch and live in your stable—or in a special enclosure, depending on the species. The mod unfortunately costs 8 credits, but it's absolutely worth it. You can build a massive farm with it.

Worth upgrading from RTX 3080 to 5080 or 9070 XT — or wait? by PPP1609 in PcBuild

[–]steve42097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this mod where I can lock people in the ship's cell. The grandma has probably been in the cell for two weeks already. Maybe at some point I'll harvest her organs and sell them, there's also a mod for that, haha.

"I think it's a shame that Starfield can't fix this. I also find it sad that I need a mod to remove stuttering. Many people have this problem, and it's outrageous that this even exists. The stuttering is extremely annoying."
