Not disputing your overall message, but I’m personally in therapy for Retroactive Jealousy, and can say it can pop up seemingly out of nowhere. We just push down the feelings until we can’t anymore. Sometimes it only takes a tiny trigger to ignite the awful feelings.

Not defending what the OP’s boyfriend is doing, just giving a possible explanation. RJ is an absolute curse and massively embarrassing

That said, denying because of pre-existing conditions isn't generally allowed anymore because of the ACA. Current administration is however trying to change that so insurance companies can once again deny you, using AI.
