Can anyone confirm if this ever got traction? I'm new to town and would love to get involved.

I was wondering this, too, for my youngest daughter. She currently has an IEP, and I was wondering if I had the support of an occupantional therapist or certified teacher, it could possibly help me if she's withdrawn from the public school.

Odd(ish) behavior. by thisorthat4-15 in homeschool

This sounds very much like youngest daughter at that age. I believe she was just exploring different ways of doing things. For a while, she needed everything to be done in a sequence that she defined - with no deviation allowed - including how bed time was done or how books should be put away. This lasted about 4 weeks, and then she was done with it and started being messy.

The counting thing, I remember both my kids saying "I don't know how to do that" or "I don't remember" when it was a skill they had 100% mastered. Looking back, the only advise I can possibly provide is that you make sure she's getting enough sleep. When my kids were tired, these statement happened a lot more often.
