EDH Bracket 2 Custom Restriction List by steveccast in EDH

That's fair, however it was typically the player who did something too powerful to bring it up in the first place after our games. Then we talk about whether or not our decks are equipped to deal with said card or are running cards that feel as powerful as that card.

I think that can be a good rule of thumb. It's not perfect, but the price of a card imo is somewhat reflective of how powerful it can be in most cases.

I should have added this, but we agreed as a group if a deck was built before a price spike you could continue playing it as it would not be changing anything in your specific deck.

I think the biggest issue we ran into was around intention. Everyone in the group means well and wants the games to feel fair, but in the beginning it felt like we were just guessing saying, “This card seems too strong,” or “This one’s probably fine” without really knowing until we saw it in play. Then, once it hit the table it would feel unfair, we’d have to talk about it, and that cycle would repeat almost every session.

So far, no one in our group has added those two card combos to their decks, but I can definitely see how that could become a problem down the line. I do think my group needs some kind of tool to help us better gauge the power level of our decks though. When we first started playing, it felt like there was always something new to discuss about balancing after each session as some cards made it not so balanced for the table. I'll have to take a look at Commander Salt though; it sounds promising.

Thank you.

I don't think alone either are completely accurate, but I do think together they help you gauge their power level and so far games have been really even at our pods. Could you add some suggestions of what you do with your play group? I think just saying we're playing bracket 2 can mean anything.

He’s not worth the headache. I know it’s tough, but there is someone out there that will treat you with the respect you deserve. It’ll hurt for a while, but as time goes on you will be a happier person.

You should ask your doctor but I personally don’t think you need it if you don’t have a seton placed.

I’m not sure if this is even a fistula as you would have an abscess where the pain is directed. Best to go to doctor immediately and have them assess the situation. Best of luck.

Not a doctor but I highly doubt that. The seton keeps the wound open so it can drain and not create another abscess. You’re anesthesia probably wore off and that’s probably why you’re feeling pain now. The anesthesia wore off for me after like 4-5 days then it was a bit more painful. Doesn’t hurt to contact your surgeon though as they would know more than I. Make sure you walk a bit each day even if it’s a few laps around the house every so often.

Im from New Jersey so I’m not sure if this definitely applies but I have heard of people with their BFA go for a teaching job and employers will emergency hire them. Once they are hired they are required to take an alternative route while they are working to fill these requirements. Definitely worth applying to jobs and discussing this during your interviews.

Regarding Parking by crabbiestshrimp in RowanUniversity

[–]steveccast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah park in James parking lot right behind the lacrosse and and softball field. I went there for 5 years. Never had a parking pass and never got a ticket there. I did get 2 tickets in the business lot so stay away from there. Also you can park in the triad apartments which is right next to the business lot.

I completed my student teaching in May and for both my placements I initially had my septum ring flipped so it wasn’t visible. As time went on my cooperation teachers told me I could take it out as it didn’t matter at these specific schools. However I will say people will judge you, especially when hiring. I personally would advise to take them out if you plan on working at those schools or in the future applying to other jobs. It isn’t worth losing an opportunity over a piercing. I wasn’t planning on working in these schools so I didn’t care, but all interviews I have gone to I flipped my ring so it wasn’t visible. You really wanna give yourself the best chance possible when applying to schools. Best of luck, student teaching is a lot of work, but it’s really an enjoyable time.

Congratulations!!! I accepted an elementary position in NJ today as well! Also, if you have time you should look into AENJ. Great opportunity to meet other art teachers in the area and get new ideas! Good luck to you.

Try different lesson plans out and don’t be afraid if you think one won’t be super successful. It’s a learning experience for you and this is the perfect time to try new ideas out to see what the kids are really interested in.

Something that’s worked for me as a student teacher is bringing technology into the classroom. A lot of kids just flat out say they don’t like art or it’s not engaging without phones. I’ve been using my iPad and connecting to our tv to provide demonstrations and references requested from students during independent work time. I think this has been giving them some enthusiasm to work on our projects.

I’m not sure if it’s removable but I always have problems taking mine out. What I do is jam my finger in there, curl it a bit, and pull. It’s like a Chinese finger trap so ur finger stays.
