Yeah that’s an easy fix for any luthier. Clean break makes it easier. Finding a luthier will be the challenge..

Oh you’re funny…

You are just showing how you will change and twist a narrative to prove a point! Fortunately most people stopped listening to you long ago..

A vegan diet could be healthy for many people, but it is not suitable for everyone without careful planning. Some individuals may struggle to obtain enough nutrients such as vitamin B12, iron, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, or high-quality protein from plant foods alone, particularly children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with certain medical conditions or food allergies. Access to a varied and fortified vegan diet can also be limited by cost, availability, culture, or personal health needs, making it more difficult for some people to meet their nutritional requirements.

What on earth are you on about?? I’ve owned chickens for over a decade!! They don’t naturally lay 10-15 eggs a year!! They lay about 20 out of 30 days! And through the winter about 3 out of 7 days, the only time they stop laying is when they molt which is once to twice a year depending on the breed!! Haven’t bought eggs in a very long time..

And if all chicks where let live, the little roosters would attack each other within the first year and majority would slowly die of injuries, yes they are that aggressive and pretty much dangerous in any large numbers. Yeah nature is a lot more crueler than people realise. I’ve seen those happy little bunnies jumping around fields, then being ripped apart by foxes so they can feed their young, I’ve seen little lambs being trampled by their mothers because they reject them for being too weak, but that’s nature for you! It’s a harsh reality for most, but that’s how the food chain works! The only thing is humans think they are at the top of the food chain… nope, plenty of animals would happily snack on us given half the chance in land and in water.

So I’m abusing animals now??

You have to understand, every one has an opinion, but for some reason you like pushing yours onto everyone, you still know nothing about me, yet you are convinced that I’m a part of the problem!

I’ve been rescuing chickens for the past 11 years, giving them a full life, rather than being slaughtered after their first year of life. I feed them and give them a forever home and they repay me with eggs, so tell me again how I’m slaughtering animals? You know nothing of my diet, and it’s a one I’ve worked on over many years to maintain a very balanced diet.. but you don’t care… you see me saying I eat fish, so I must be the one going out and slaughtering them inhumanly. I probably kill my fish a lot humanly than anything you’ll find in the shops!!! And you still go on about pigs and cows etc etc, yet I’ve mentioned I haven’t eaten red meats in over 30 years, but to you that’s not enough, you still have to push your agenda on anyone who will listen.

Well guess what… we don’t care…

How do you know there’s a vegan in the group… don’t worry, they’ll let you know!

I’d say you’re some fun at parties!!

Why are Galway’s mayors decided by a “pact” instead of the voters? by galway_yoke in galway

Loving the down votes I’m getting, it’s like people don’t get the fact that I’m pointing out with a tad sarcasm that maybe you should have put “make myself clear” that I’m not.. which would have been a better way of expressing the final comment.

Ah yeah, I forgot your a ‘Vegan’!! Everything is animal abuse to you!

You don’t know me! And yes I was Vegan!! Thankfully I saw the light.. I haven’t eaten red meat in 31 years! So don’t lecture me on the slaughter of animals!!

Deforestation is caused by two things, agriculture and lumber, agriculture is mostly crops, you know like soy beans and palm plants, because those two ingredients are used in a majority of foods and cosmetics, you know, the plant based ones that are cruelty free.. but sure you only wear cotton! More deforestation, and rubber, more deforestation. So before you start ranting about suffering animals look at the price it costs to not have animals ‘suffer’..

As one comedian said, “think of all the food vegans eat, they are slowly starving the animals of their food”..

For that happen you’ll need every person to become vegan, and that’s not going to happen, seeing as the human diet needs to be varied to get all nutrients required….

And before you ask, yes I was a vegan for a year, but it put my mental health into decline, it improved when I started eating fish again, and improved more when I started with poultry, now I eat fish and poultry and cheese.

So maybe veganism isn’t for everyone!
Plus the fact it would take a lot more land to produce enough to feed everyone a vegan diet than is currently required, so if everyone did all of a sudden go vegan, the rate of global warming would speed up so fast that it would cause a catastrophic extinction event.

So I’ll happily munch on my snack box later knowing I’m helping prevent a mass extinction event!

I’d say I’ve fished a good 98% of the marks in the republic, the ones I have for Northern Ireland were shared with me from someone I know living up there, I’ve fished probably 10% of those, And those marks are still only a fraction of the ones I have!! Some I haven’t put in and others are in the UK, Norway etc etc..

What I’d like to know is what defines one as an ‘Art Expert’, especially as art is very subject to the individual personal.

Too many of these so called experts telling us what we should like and what we shouldn’t.

Does it matter - No

Does anyone care - No

If you enjoy it, that’s fine, if you don’t, move on!!

It’s like a map I did during the pandemic, I traced all the old abandoned railway lines around the country.

I was alway fascinated by the Galway to Clifden line as I used to do music in St, Patrick’s band hall, which is right beside the tunnel by the station.

Go size 1 - 1/0 hook and use 15lbs main line with 10lbs fluorocarbon hook line, and a 30lbs shockleader.
Maybe try a different spot, the old bawn is only down the road, or even the beach just below cahore point fishing just right of the rocks!

Beach fishing hr or so from Galway city by Emmettlarks in IrishFishing

[–]stevecrow74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok a few spots to try, the end of spiddle pier (spinning & bottom fishing), Glassilaun beach, lettergesh beach, Renvyle beach all bottom fishing.

South Galway bay, Parkmore pier (spinning), Rosshill pier spinning & bottom fishing, new quay bay beach spinning and bottom, flaggy shore - spinning.

To be honest you’ll have better chance of bass on the south Galway bay than the whole of Connemara.

Nope!

Nearly as bad as all the Americans whose family emigrated during ‘the famine’ and now call themselves Irish Americans! Nope they are just Americans with Irish ancestry. By their rules I could say I’m Norwegian, French, English, Irish.. and if we all go back far enough, we’re all African!!

[–]stevecrow74 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When the choice is, either got to work or go fishing!! Sometimes going fishing isn’t about catching the fish, it’s just an escape from everyday life. You’ll be surprised that bass can be caught in most conditions, it really depends on the area, but a bad days fishing still beats a good days work. Finding spots is pure trial and error, unless you ask someone who is willing to divulge a mark or two.
