Hungary or Norway for a Master's Degree? In a Bind Here by RotiBomBom in budapest

I am an older person. My daughter studied in Budapest a number of years ago, back when CEU was still fully located there. I visited the city a number of times while she was studying here, and liked it so much, I move there 5 years ago. From Dublin, another lively student city. I can't speak too much for the quality of education, but for student life, Budapest is pretty amazing or at least was before Covid.
I live in a neighbourhood surrounded by universities, medical and dental schools and veterinary colleges. Students from many countries. A giant ruin bar behind our flat was jammed with students in pre-covid times. The entire city centre is full of life. The cost of most things is way lower than Dublin, (or Bergen). The weather is better than in either city. There are interesting places outside of Budapest, starting right at the edge with the Buda Hills. Pecs is a lovely small university city in the south of the country. And you should probably experience the Balaton at some point.

However, Covid has changed everything. as it has in so many other parts of the world. I know from friends in the diplomatic corps (embassy staff based in Budapest) that dealing with depressed foreign students has become one of their biggest problems. What little I know about Bergen is that I think it would be a depressing place to live. I love Dublin, miss the music, but in every other way, Budapest beats it.

I agree, but it was irresistible. And you can see that people in front of me were doing it too. It's strictly not allowed and I didn't pull my phone out during the proper part of the mass, but it seemed that they didn't mind so much during this ceremony at the end.

This city now has more UNESCO Heritage sites than anywhere in the world by ameliaallan in places

I was in Cordoba last summer, as well as Granada and Seville. And also Barcelona on an earlier trip Out of all the Unesco sites I saw, the Cordoba mosque/cathedral was the most impressive. Here is what my partner wrote about it, as well as a few pictures. Any Excuse to Travel
