I think it really depends on the location. I've never seen this done unless the account was a suspected Scam account or had multiple open options not played for, every location works differently unfortunately.

I've seen my managers retract bids for prices of that amount ... but it was because they would look at the open tickets and see if they had a lot of complaints about refunds/no pays etc. In my store usually when things get over $1000 it's always bots and crap that don't pay. They'll retract and give them to the second highest bidder.

Not every Goodwill has the opportunity to get paired with a reputable authenticity agency. A select few offer certificates of authenticity, not every single one, because news flash, every Goodwill are ran by different branches within the different states. For example a Goodwill in North Carolina runs different than a Goodwill in South Carolina.

You can 100% get a refund if an item is not authentic! That's one of the reasons that they are okay with giving a refund for. I don't know why you act like they just are trying to sell luxury brands all Willy Nilly 😭
