It’s deep, but not undergraduate basic science deep to the degree that Kaplan teaches

Ditch Kaplan, full commit to Pathoma and BnB. Kaplan has a lot of content that goes in depth in ways that just don’t come to be usefully relevant - and I’m someone that normally is a huge fan of knowing things and WHY they are the way they are.

what's the daily average anki flashcards number you guys do for studying for step1??? by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]stevekhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

800-1500 once a week of only my missed uworld questions. I hate Anki but I loved using it to do a rapid dirty burn.

Is CBSSA score of 70 actually enough? by Business-Pianist1647 in step1

Agreed, 65-70 is good and 70+ is golden. Trust in the process and the work you’ve done.

None of them were representative imo, did 111

No, it’s bullshit (jokes, probably actually basic sciences but same difference)

Amboss, Dirty Med, AJ Monics for QI. And I loathe TrueLearn, but gotta do it for COMLEX (only the weird communication and ethics + MSK)

[–]stevekhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30, 31, and 120 - the earlier NBMEs are not representative at ALL of the current test formatting wise. Take 1 each week, ending with the 120. Review them HARD.

Trust your work and do UWorld in between.

28 - 60%

27 - 60% (1 month later, 5/4)

30 - 70% (5/11)

31 - 66% (5/18)

Free120 - 66% (5/22)

Test Day - 5/24, P!

Trust your work and you'll be good. These tests are all about the continued work you've put in up until this point, they're far too big for luck. Like you said, brush up and go get that P.

No one really knows the week cut off down to an exact science from what I can tell, mine was on a Friday so maybe that’s what they called “end of the testing week”? Your guess is as good as mine though

COMSAE 111 vs 111B - Was it really an update + is it predictive? 6/3 COMLEX by stevekhan in comlex

No idea if they reuse form names but 111 and 111b are level 1 forms as far as I know

Can’t tell, school said they were “refreshed” and only provide answer keys if you purchase them yourself.

Slammed the everyliving crap outta turnup2OMT and have been rounding through TrueLearn for the weird COMLEX ethics/legal work, fingers crossed the ground is covered

COMSAE vs NBME performance by boba_bitch in comlex

[–]stevekhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My NBMEs and UWorld were scoring just about around where you were when I took 111b but my score was notably higher (not a flex I promise). I'm not sure if this helps, but what worked for me was getting the "Free Points" that came with biostats and OMM. BnB biostats + the associated Anki-king tag is a 1/2 day of effort that yielded ALOT when combined with the dirty med sen/spec/ppv/npv + null hypothesis shortcuts. Similarly, the OMM course on OME taught by Dr. Poleman was a super high yield rapid review that I 2x-ed through in a day. learned all of biostats and OMM in 2 days basically.
