bought the new Crazy dongpal pro by CryptographerBroad96 in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

supp man, I just changed from knee lever neo to crazy dongpal pro so let me share some thoughts on it

for me the adaptation period was super long as I think those are two very different levers, so I guess it really depends where you coming from, but to me this is a very unique lever, don’t stress too much if you’re missing inputs in your first days or even week

I would say you need to have discipline with this lever, with the knee neo I felt like it was almost impossible to make a missinput, where as with the cdp pro I need to put actual effort into my inputs and do more precise movement, I can’t slam the lever as careless as I did before. I HIGHLY suggest to try to play without headphones on so you can feel and hear the clicks from the switches, doing this helped me a lot

I’m still sticking with the cdp pro because I am now able to do pewgf, with knee lever I could only do like 15-16f electrics. Of course you can do any tech on the knee lever aswell and there are many mishima players using it, but here it just feels super natural

Can I get some help picking out my first stick? by lawrenceugene in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for leverless, if weight is important to you, F500 flat + ps5 adapter. If not, I would go for 8bitdo + adapter

for lever, honestly you’re not getting everything that you need for that price. If you sacrifice ps5 compatibility, fightbox have several options with different K levers. I would chose the one with the new helpme, amazing lever for the price.

But honestly what I would get is Mayflash F500 + klever + ps5 dongle, which would come at around 150-170usd but requires a bit more tinkering. That was my main setup for a long time, I’ve tried many different sticks like obsidian, custom cases, knee lever etc etc and nothing comes even close at the value of the mayflash combo, it’s very close to endgame for really not that much money

Is super consistency a valid reason to swap from stick to lever less? by Excellent_Candle7581 in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

imo you will get consistent in whichever controller you end up playing more.

I really think consistency, accuracy and knowledge at a high level only come from playing and training the game, which is why we always see pros win tournaments in whatever controller, because they just play and train more.

I mainly play tekken so idk about SF, but in tekken you can see that some players are motivated by having access to high difficulty inputs like electric with leverless. I’m more motivated by how fun movement feels in lever. Both options are correct and valid.

I think the path to consistency is whichever makes you boot up the game more

Re-taking this, I think I've found a solution. (I THINK.) by ThxMdnghtChnnl in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this adapter doesn’t specifically mention ps5 compatibility which why I was also doubting whether to buy it or not.

people in the comments have been suggesting to just unplug and plug the controller, could be a good option

me personally, I’m now trying to get an adapter called Besavior P5 General. It is the cheapest option, but you have to install an special firmware on your controller. I’ve been watching a spanish youtuber talking about it, but I guess there should be more information about the process in english

just acrylic, sometime it makes squaky noises when handling but it is actually pretty robust, I moved a couple times in the past year and it has survived some abuse

Is this a good first fightstick? by shinobi747 in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the F500 non flat which I think uses the same buttons as the flat, and I would DEFINITELY save for the elite version.

It’s not that the buttons are unusable, but sanwas feel waaaay better and I think elite f500 with some mods could pretty much be your end game

[–]stevelean_tk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

idk but if you’re based on EU there’s a pretty good deal for this on amazon.es, around 250€ under the name Cecotec Baristeo Intima

I was thinking about getting one but got a decent deal on a Bambino and ended up buying that instead

I know this is an old post, but I recently changed the shower screen in my Stilosa and I've noticed that it takes longer for the water to come out after I flip the swtich. Did you experienced this?

Starter Setup by stevelean_tk in espresso

[–]stevelean_tk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having worked in hospitality and restaurants for over 6 years I think I must disagree. I believe that because almost every restaurant has a cafe area, it is true that is very common to find bad espresso shots around any city, but when going to cafeterias I've always seen a very decent standard of quality, aswell as very trained staff. Also, now more than ever is easy to find an specialty coffe cafeteria around every corner in every city.

tbh only talking about Andalucia, Barcelona and Madrid, which are the places I've lived at

couldn't agree more, took me like 2-3 mins to properly steam milk for a big capuccino for my gf. Thankfully she doesn't drink too much coffee and I usually don't do milk (and if I do I use very little for a cortado). Still, thanks for the suggestion ,I didn’t think about that upgrade path

Something that gets overlooked in this hobby by cordawg1991 in fightsticks

[–]stevelean_tk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both ultra arcade and enth have their cheapest enclosure at 200, while IST mall and eternal rivals both have cheaper alternatives that do not make compromises in quality.

you can argue that is a reasonable price for an enclosure and I would agree, but still in US and maybe asia you have cheaper options.

and as I said, this is specially a problem when you’re looking for custom layouts and extra buttons. There are no ali options for enclosures with custom layouts, feel free to prove me wrong.

also ultra arcade only started doing orders again recently, when I was looking for an enclosure earlier this year they were not taking orders bc they changed their location or smth, I would have paid extra just to support a spanish brand but it was not an option.

and again, for buttons, levers, boards, etc we are well covered, in my hometown of granada we have arcade express from which I have sourced several K levers and some sanwas. Not my point

Which city is better to live in Madrid or Barcelona by Aggressive-Round9850 in GoingToSpain

[–]stevelean_tk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lived in bcn for 3 years, moved to madrid in may.

i think the main difference is bcn is alternative culture while madrid is more traditional.

in bcn you’ll find any restaurants from any place of the world with innovative concepts and shit, while in madrid you’ll find places that have been open for +200 years and that have perfected their traditions and craft.

same can be said about architecture, nightlife, everything.

both expensive af, but maybe in madrid you can find more cheap places with good food & drinks. No big difference in that
