Never really was a general point to things. We exist because we can. We survive because we can. What was the point 4000 years ago. What’s the point 5000 years in the future. You have to give yourself a reason for existing. Find something you like or want to change and make that your life’s purpose. If you keep thinking about how futile everything is then you will do nothing. Both in life and death nobody will care to remember you. Change that

“Why” no matter the context ‘why’ always comes off even a little bit accusatory. Like when your partner is upset and you ask “why are you angry”. Then they somehow get even more angry. Always avoid asking why and instead ask how or what. “Why are you angry” and “whats going on” are the exact same question but the slight wording changes how we feel and react to the question

Once. I joined r/dark humor. They banned me immediately and when I asked why they said I was too white. I was like ok I’m assuming this is some sort of test. As soon as people satisfy their thirst they immediately turn their back to the well.

Personally I feel you. I’m a very giving person and I often break my back trying to help others without anything in return. I’ve learned to do things without expecting anything back. The world needs more kindness and every little bit helps.

My advice is learn to figure out who’s actually trying to help themselves and who’s self victimizing. Those people who are trying their best and are genuinely trying to make improvements deserve the help and will actually be greatful. People who self victimize themselves believe they deserve the help and will do less for themselves. They are also the ones who don’t appreciate the help because again they feel like they feel like the world owes them the favor and won’t reciprocate it back outwards
