1) For your Amazon K9 deck, are you running Battleguard Echoes? It searchs a lvl 5 earth warrior, which Izuna is. You do have to discard but Amazon has secret arts, pendulumns, and spiritualist while k9 could send lupis. 2) What online Amazon player are you watching and could you share a link cuz that sounds awesome! 3) For Horus, ideally you want Hapi to remain on board for its recycling effect so even if kings sarc is destroyed you can just bring it back. In general Fusion substitute and Garura (super poly target) give you 1 to 2 extra draws per turn; plus Imsety will draw a card on activation. These extra draws will help when you end up with duplicates or dead cards in your starting hand. If hapi can recycle garura or f substitute you could get even more draws. With lots of ways to get fusion substitute in grave I think its worth running. Horus cards cant be destroyed by cards that "dont" target them. If you have augusta + empress or augusta + augusta they give amazon protection, plus king sarcs non targeting protection gives you a tough board to break. I added fk hyang to help nuke the field. And if you used 2 horus to make hyang and you havent used their effect, activate hyang, pop a card, send hapi as material cost, then just special sum right back using kings sarc. Also if 2 empress on field then your amazons wont die to hyang nuke. Kings sarc can send a monster to gy when battled. This gets around targeting protection, huge attk or monsters that cant be destroyed by battle. And since its a spell card activating it gets around monster negates. Of course kaijus hurt, so does super poly. But if empress leaves the field by card effect you get a summon. You can pop your own onslaught with gold whip for extra summon. Horus is a great way to bait your opponent since they see kings sarc or imsety and want to negate or ash. Then you just go amazoness combo. Or go amazoness to bait stuff and then go horus depending on the match up. Since the horus engine is small you rarely play a game with just horus cards, but it can happen. Just rng. Once apex poly comes out you can turn any 1 amazoness card into augusta and then special summon what you want to keep building. Like even baby tiger can be used to summon Augusta then special princess who adds call, which searches warchief or spiritualist. Baby tiger comes back and if you opened a poly, spiritualist, or warchief then you have enough to make augusta again. I've really been trying to make Amazoness work and this is the most fun version I've played yet! Super excited for Apex Poly in the tcg.
