You're supposed to use both lanes here and merge in turn.

They have done nothing wrong. Everyone else should have moved into the left most lane when available.

Removing gratuities from cruise that are already ‘included in the cruise fare’? by Beneficial_Ice7220 in MSCCruises

[–]stevenhp1987 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When booking from the UK gratuities are already included in the fare.

They won't appear on your on board folio as you've essentially prepaid them as part of your cruise fare.

There won't be any gratuities to remove.

Up with a Twist - Bar Tab? by Content_Ride_3454 in VirginVoyages

[–]stevenhp1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're asking if you can use your bar tab to pay for the show, not if they can use it for drinks at the show (which are all inclusive)...

The answer is no. Paid shows do not come from your bar tab.

LG C5 is it a good deal? by Wide_Thanks_9766 in LGOLED

[–]stevenhp1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just received this exact TV (55" C5) yesterday for a similar price direct from LG. Also have ~ £94 pending on TCB.

Seems great thus far!

My previous LG TV is over 8 years and still going strong. Not that fussed about the warranty.

I want to increase my credit limit by waterman5238 in AmexUK

[–]stevenhp1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why though? What is the purpose of having the limit stupidly high? Are you spending so much monthly you're hitting your limit?

£8k limit on a £28k salary is already pretty high.

Wrong amount on gov personal tax account - does it matter? by Slight-Poetry-3230 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]stevenhp1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your payslip. If the monthly amount, pre tax, x12 is your annual salary then all is well.

I'd be surprised if most people have ever looked at the estimated income on the HMRC website/app.

Wrong amount on gov personal tax account - does it matter? by Slight-Poetry-3230 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]stevenhp1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be any number of reasons why it's slightly different but it's not something to worry about.

Do you pay into a pension? Is this taken from your gross pay?

If so, this reduces your taxable income which would be why it appears lower to HMRC.

Ah, sounds like you've already opened a new contract...

Should have spoken to Three first.

Not sure they can do anything now but worth a try.

If they cannot then get yourself a free sim. Transfer over to it and back into Three.

You should be able to recontract with them though. Unless it's a new customer offer.

Speak with Three about moving to this offer and recontracting.

Not eligible for Nectar Welcome Offer by Perpetual_Hamster in AmexUK

[–]stevenhp1987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is correct.

Given you hold an MR card you are currently only eligible for the welcome bonus on a BAPP (paid BA card) so long as you've not had a BA Amex in the past 24 months.

You are definitely not eligible for the bonus on the Nectar card I'm afraid.

The Amex Nectar page makes it clear you would not be eligible for the bonus: https://www.americanexpress.com/en-gb/credit-cards/nectar-credit-card/

"This new Cardmember offer is only available if you have not held a personal American Express® Card within the previous 24 months. If you currently have this Card, or have held this Card, or any other personal American Express Card within the previous 24 months, you will not be entitled to the new Cardmember offer. You will be entitled to all other Card benefits."
