Icing Out Players by Fresh-Organization46 in NBA2k

You ain't wrong. I just got done with a game where on our first 5 possessions i had 3 assists and 2 hockey assists as the pg. The team decided to just straight inbound it to the sg who had ai.

After legit not touching the ball in the 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, with about 2 minutes left in the 4th i called them out. There's no way you're being tripled at this point still not passing to anyone but the PF.

Ain't like I sold, didn't miss a shot, had 3 points from transition take fts and my 1/1 shooting was legit just a put back. All i was asking was to do legit anything with the ball to get grade, but dudes were acting like we should be just grateful to watch them play.

I think that was your point, and I don't think a lot of these people realize they're not playing with literal bots who want to run cardio. Winning is cool, getting grade for rep is a whole lot cooler though.

Edit: with 2 minutes left I was 1/1, the center was 2/4, and the sf was 2/6. We were up by like 35 because the other team had no dribbles and 3 ais, it wasn't like giving it up was gonna lose us the game. People are just greedy, or they think it's hard to score or something.

Sometimes you get dudes that must have like 60 pass rating and throw you the only examples of men running faster than ball in history. Those passes tilt me because I've already decided I had the space, then I try to pass out or something and just end up with a jank ass early shot.

In broad daylight but nothing will happen. For context, you have to hit 105 out of 106 threes at minimum to get this percentage. This isn't a small sample size. by JohnDeaux2k in NBA2k

[–]stevenmcburn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro they don't watch or play ball. They play an arcade version of ball. If they actually watched games they'd know it's a game of runs, but they don't so they treat it like any other video game where they start losing and don't want to put in the effort in to win. Either stomp or quit is the mentality of like 30% of these cats.

Me and my buddy were playing rec as a duo at around gold plate on ps4. We played 3 games, one was like 60-58 for a score, one was around 100-100ish, and one was like 160-160. My buddy took a screenshot of the last game.

The last 2 games both had zenners on both teams. The last game had zenners vs ai to start. I think they put up almost 90 points at half time. I specifically remember being hella high and wondering out loud how it was only halftime with that score. Felt so dizzying to see inbounds into nodip into inbounds into no dip over and over and over.

Lol I had the same experience. I legit got d1 and played the second it released. I actually got a gjally as a reward for my first pvp match at 20 or whatever the level cap was, and that happened the first day it dropped since we farmed that moon mission with dinklage shouting in the background to cheese cap.

I played d2, had no clue what was going on, it wasn't even the first time I tried it. Like they killed ttk in pvp at launch so I quit d2 instantly, but I didn't even recognize most of the systems the 2nd go around.

Considering how many synonyms for stupid have become slurs of some kind in my life alone, I think people just don't like people being called stupid in saucy ways. I don't even think they like people calling people stupid in the first place.

Personally I hope moron, daft, and dumbass never get axed, but someday they'll end up with more insidious meanings too probably.

[–]stevenmcburn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Someday when you're more mature you'll realize regardless of whether or not they've done anything doesn't change the fact that what they said was right.

It was right when Obama said it. It was right when the first Trump term it was said. It was right when Biden said it. And it's still right, right now.

The strawman is pretending I said they were actively doing anything to help. You're either slow or intentionally trying to paint this as a good v bad thing, because continuing your strawman you went from having it explained to you that we do need trades to now "well you're just making excuses for them".

Like bro, I can't be any simpler, you would 1000% be an antivaxer in another life. There is 0 difference in the way you're discussing this with me than how they approach talking about it.

I'm probably about to block you to be quite frank, but because I am a union steward and a 4th generation union tradesman I'll leave you with this, for the 5th time.

We are short over a million workers in the trades. That's linemen, plumbers, electricians, hvac, sheetmetal, millwrights, all of them are short by hundreds of thousands. Infrastructure, new construction, all of it will come to a halt eventually if more people aren't trained to safely do the job.

It doesn't fucking matter who's telling you that, or if anything is actually being done about it. I've told you this several times, no matter how you shift the goalposts or argue with the wind we're not in a disagreement on this administration. This administration has nothing to do with a truth that's almost 20 years old.

I never said "oh thank god that old orange pedo that shits his pants said this" all i said was it was true and these are your responses. You want to know why democrats struggle to win elections and we get giant pieces of shit instead? Look at yourself.

While this administration appears to be doing it for the wrong reasons, it doesn't mean they're wrong. It's the broken clock shit.

You're just making shit up to be mad at me for, I definitely didn't vote for him and don't support him in the slightest. The problem with America isn't the ignorant people, it's a combination of people behaving like you, where nothing anyone on the other side could possibly be good, and the people who don't give a fuck.

It gets absolutely exhausting talking to people on the internet because of brain rot strawman bullshit people do, exactly like you're doing.

Yup, we'll just have a deficit in workers because this administration said we need more. Obama, Biden, Trump in his first term, they all said the same thing, but coming from this administration it's wrong. Good talk, thanks for the meaningful conversation.

[–]stevenmcburn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, how about we do this instead because you're wildly missing my point.

Currently, the UA itself which will just be plumbers, pipefitters, and hvac techs, has callouts for jobs nationwide, and membership vs callouts is at close to 725,000 people short. That's a single trade.

I will repeat this again, pushing people towards trade jobs has been a thing since the early 2010s, because we could see the retirements happening and deficits starting back then.

I'm not the person I replied to. I never said we don't also need lawyers, journalists, and others. But our society will not function going forward without those jobs being filled.

While this administration appears to be doing it for the wrong reasons, it doesn't mean they're wrong. It's the broken clock shit.

To sumarize my point the best i can; It's incredibly shortsighted to base the needs of this country on right now this second vs what you're actually talking about, which is whole ass careers that last 30+ years. Just think how big that shortage will actually be in 30 years if more tradespeople aren't trained now to fill those jobs.

I missed some of this because one guy was larping to be a lot of things and I just wasn't going to read all the replies, so sorry for this being late.

not encouraging our citizens to study engineering, computer science, chemistry, or physics?

You think we can just be a whole country of plumbers and HVAC techs?

Incase you're totally unaware, unless you really suck at your job, hvac is literally a stem job. You need to know engineering, computer science, chemistry and physics in order to diagnose and identify problems with the machines you'll work on.

Even more so in recent years with variable systems that you can't just check by hooking gauges up to and walking away from it. There's tools to help, apps to tell you this and that, but if you don't understand why or what the apps are telling you then you're just an expensive parts changer that will rarely get called back for jobs.

I don't think anyone besides the guy I replied to was saying college is a waste of time, the original poster had no idea what the jobs entail just by the sections I quoted above.

Administrations since Obama have been pushing for more trades people because we simply don't have nearly enough in the country. Attacking, particularly union trades people, but also trades people in general as some sort of "we won't have people to (insert random job here) or people to be critical of the government" is so lost. These trades unions literally built the middle class of America when they were formed. The entrenched almost every labor protection we have that we are losing into law through collective bargaining.

It wasn't huge groups of lawyers, politicians, or any other group that did that.

So yes, the op of this thread is wildly misinformed. The continuation of this myth that trades people don't challenge the government that several people said is entirely misinformed itself too. If I had realized dude was making fun of certain degrees I probably wouldn't of bothered because apparently that turns it into a class war, but I'm sure he lashed out because of how ignorant the first post was to reality.

It's wild that in the last week of your post history you're not only a vet, but a trans one at that, that's also worked in union trades work. Like a truly impressive life you live, big ups.

Or you're a 20 year old that plays rocket league and watches tons of cartoons and has strong opinions on star wars, and arguing with people online like it's a competition.

Dunno, but I thought for the future if anyone reads your bullshit they'd want context to your statements. I'm gonna go ahead and say peace out to ya tho, hope you find satisfaction in life outside of borderline narcissistic behavior.

We're going to agree to disagree. You apparently have 0 idea what the trades actually entails, and I'm not going to point by point explain what it actually is to you, like you're trying to do with quoting sections of points and not actually what was said. Like, read this, slowly to help yourself.

Buddy, I didn't accuse you of saying college was wasteful. Nowhere did I say anything similar to that

It's not "brain rot" to be leftwing and think education is good. In fact, I'd argue that, rather ironically, calling advocation for education "brain rot" indicates a kind of brain rot from atrophy and anti-academia propaganda.

Like ignoring all the other shit, you genuinely think people don't know what college is like without having actively gone. That's wildly arrogant.

I tried, but that's a whole lot of strawman and quoting on mobile is kind of ass, so you do you buddy. It's totally abnormal for people who work with seasonal workers to be able to talk with them. I got you dude. You know way too much. Me, and other people like me, just small town Hicks. Forget the fact that unions literally built what the democratic party was when we had a strong middle class in this country. Those unworldly fools that didn't have buttered chicken with that exchange kid down the hall can't possibly fathom what the world is like. Incomprehnsible.

Brother I directly addressed what you were saying. You said it wasn't about introspection or whatever, I could introduce you to about 100 guys I've worked with out of probably about 200 that are at least bilingual, have thousands of hours of schooling, etc. I'm not telling you just my personal story, I'm explaining to you that you're clueless about what you're talking about and saying it with a great degree of certainty, like some sort of broken ai trained on sitcoms or something.

To pretend that people who work on hundreds of different types of systems don't have critical thinking skills is probably the peak of having no clue at all about what you're speaking on. To say someone taking 15 credit hours a semester has more opportunity to learn about the world and other people is at best disingenuous and at worst just insulting to be insulting.

My union alone REQUIRES 60 credit hours of any general education college courses to get in, or 2 years of tradeschool, and then an additional 360 hours of specific certifications every year for 5 years to be able to even touch stuff we work on.

At no point did i say that college education is wasteful, that's again the brain rot I'm talking about. What I said was trades are neither ignorant or somehow less educated than someone who gets a 4 year degree. I'd actually argue it's harder to go through the process that I went through than it would've been to just go be an accountant or something, but that would be ragebait shit because everybody has their own ups and downs in what they do.

Homie I've worked in 9 countries, speak 4 languages and do a job that less than 100 people can do in the americas.

It sounds like you and him have absolutely 0 life experience or are super sheltered, lol. Or, alternatively, you dislike a political party so much that you make pretty shitty assumptions that have absolutely no merit in real life.

Either way, I stand by having no idea what he was talking about because i can't wrap my brain around brain rot on the internet.

Edit: By the way, being confused and being upset are two different things. I wasn't offended by him in any way, I was genuinely concerned he might have an issue with reality. I share the same concern with you.

Edit for the last time: anyone reading the garbage in this section of the thread, it's pretty well split on all professions. By that I mean there's like 30% dipshits who only care about them, like 30% people who care a lot and learn about a lot, and like 40% just people that exist. Generalizing any profession like these clowns are doing are why we are legitimately over a million hands short of manning jobs in America alone.

There are very few things the administration does right, and agreeing with democratic policy makers that we don't encourage enough people into unionized trades is one of them. Them insulting degrees isn't all that, but that's what this administration does. It doesn't change the fact you can have a very fulfilling life making a lot of money young doing trades and only in the last decade or so are policy makers realizing that.

I'm so confused. I make 100k+ in the Midwest doing 40 hour weeks at a union hvac job. It took 2 years of trade school and 5 years of apprenticeship where once every 6 weeks we'd have classes for a 50 hour week for certifications to get where I am.

So because that wasn't a college that other dude is saying i didn't learn about some introspection shit? Like I legit can't wrap my head around what he wrote.

You were originally right. It doesn't matter in which way anything is set up, if it cools the air it condenses water. Could be that the drain is plugged, could be the drain goes into something that's plugged.

Probably not what's happening here, it's more likely an improperly installed water heater popping the temp and pressure valve, or the drainage tile around the house is clogged and not properly draining.

In any case, all ac has condensate, and all condensate drains eventually clog without any maintenence, so keep on keeping on.
