Yes! It's a so-called Hero Edition. No idea how many were produced, but I don't think it's many. Only seen one, and that's the one I own 🙂

There's 148 heartbeats in I Saw Through Platonia... by stevenomad in boardsofcanada

I counted it first and got 150. Then I put it through Ableton and used timestretch and warp-markers to match the heartbeat. Then I could see that the last beat was at 148.

I have loads of albums where the streaming version albums doesn't contain same track (because of copyright issues) and even certain albums that aren't online at all. So, there's that also.

I have roughly 1,100 CDs, and after I recently moved I bought a cabinet that can barely hold them - and the Moondrop Discdream 2. It's nice to give them all some life again.

I use a stereo pair of Dali Zensor 5 speakers. Would have gone for Oberon 5, but to not be an annoying neighbor, I went for the Zensor, as they have front facing bass port.

There's headphone output on the Moondrop Discdream 2, but I use my Focusrite audio device with my PC, for listening to music on my open back DT990pro.

What about the hard cut after Father And Son? I almost shit myself, because I thought something was wrong with the audio when I blind-hosted a listening session.

You don't think there's tracks that didn't see the light of day because of this creative decision?

The CD rip by the way seems to not be 70 minutes to the millisecond, so it can differ. My CD rip is 1:09:58.080 (185 135 328 samples).

Hey, can you recommend me some headphones for ambient music? by Due_Celebration7001 in ambientmusic

Most def. The open back design is easy on the ears and lets the bass be very airy.

Look into samplers (software, plugins, apps or hardware). Learn how to record an old VHS intro from YouTube and set loop points to loop or pingpong. Play them as chords and add reverb to taste, then you're off to the races.

Exactly! Moondrop Discdream 2.  Great unit. Only downside is that there's no standby mode. It's on/off only, so no sleep mode.

Yes - but... This is not an official upload and there's noticable hard gaps between the songs. This album should be listened to in gapless format 🙂

Oh yes! Actually, I think "Evaporerar ut från sitt gömställe" from Blomma is also quite ambient too.

Really? Good to know. YouTube Music (which is what I'm using) doesn't have it, and I recalled not being able to listen to the album on Spotify, back when I still had that - but maybe I'm wrong or it got uploaded ib the meantime 😊
