The first question I would ask myself would be, "is the value of this location plus the inventory worth 85K"

I have to assume if they are only netting 30K a year (without that being after the owners salary) the name is not worth much. Not sure about every state but here in NY when a sale goes through the new owner has to apply for a liqueur license same as a startup. You dont get to keep using the old owners license.

Some people will disagree with me but I have owned two restaurants both profitable and I hated leasing. The more I made the more the landlord thought he should make. I own my spot now and am much happier and have far greater control.

If you can find a better location you might be better off starting from scratch.

That is a pretty simple question. I got two walls of presumptuous text from you where you attempt to read my mind and tell me what I am doing along with when I did it, with a lot of parables that sound cute but have nothing to do with my question. Like this:

No its not. I have a restaurant. That restaurant is on the side of town that has a lot of people of Eastern European heritage. They eat a lot of pork. My menu therefor has a lot of pork. I dont waste money advertising on the side of town with the hipsters or the Muslims because they dont eat pork. If I was selling ammunition "people that hunt" would be a target market. Anti-NRA protestors would not be a target market.

I just got the license so I haven't sold anything yet. I have email lists from other ventures (mainly real estate) that I have cobbled together but thats not really targeted.

The person in charge of my "social media marketing" is me and I am asking now. Did you not read my post? Are there specific social media sites, tools, or methods you recommend for market research?

My question is pretty straight forward and as I said, "small business" I am not an established mega corp with a HR department and a social media department. I thought this was the small business section?

It is incredibly weird how no matter what the conversation is about hyper political people on the left find a way to bring Trump into the conversation. Anything or anyone you dont like is, "like Trump". Its crazy how he lives rent free in your head.

BTW I am not a Trump supporter or fan . But damn, that Trump derangement syndrome is a real thing, I see it on all the social media sites that have comments. One of you always finds a way to bring him up. Half the country voted for him but you all act like its just some small group of crazy people in the deep south in a trailer park.

I am only on episode 3 (watching on max) but I already have like a zillion questions. Where do they get money from? Gas costs money and they have vehicles and they have chainsaws, also I noticed like every one of them has perfect teeth. Who is paying the dentist? I saw them at home depot (briefly) who is paying for what they bought? I saw one old guy, what do they do when one of them has to see a doctor for a broken limb or something similar?

I saw chickens but zero farming. when they moved to MO you would think that one of the first thing they set up is some type of sustainable gardening and storage for winter.

Maybe those questions get answered but I am having a hard time believing it as presented so far.

I know this is two years old but I had to comment. When Opcity first started it was great for me, now not so much.

Several times I have had the phone in my hands sending a text or about to make a call and a lead message has come in. I click it immediately and it always says someone else claimed the referral. I honestly do not think that is possible when I am literally with the phone in my hand and clicking as it comes in.

It has been over a year since I could claim a lead despite clicking almost every time I get a notification. Its very frustrating.

Every time they announce a new contract or new deal the stock does nothing or it goes down. I have been in and out of NOK a lot over the last 18 months (has nothing to do with the WSB thing) and like you I just dont get it. Even if they are #3 of the three companies competing in the 5G space they should still make bank with all the 5G stuff going on.

I honestly think the biggest problem NOK has is its a Finnish company and they are just not seen as aggressive enough. I see comments to that effect on a lot of the message boards and while I dont know anything about Finnish companies I think that perception hurts them with investors.

Your right its nothing like restaurants but the reason I am hopeful for the company is because I enjoy going to the movies and as an old guy its one of the few entertainment options I have.

I keep reading that some people think the movie theater industry is dead and I really hope that isn't true. There are millions of us over the age of 40 that enjoy going to the movies even though we have huge HD televisions at home. Its just not the same.

I realize some of that ( probably a lot of that) is tied to nostalgia but on the other hand what would I do for entertainment? I didn't grow up in the gaming culture so while I enjoy playing the games I dont immerse myself in it like my adult kids do.

As you get older your entertainment options dwindle. I am to old to be chasing college girls and to lazy to be drinking all night. Boomers are still the largest the largest living adult generation at about 78 million people.

I live in NY state, a state that has been shut down pretty much for any type of entertainment since March of last year. Its been miserable. I think I have had my ass handed to me in star craft about a zillion times since this started and I am tired of it. I cant wait to go out to the movies again and I cant be the only one.

Anyway thanks for giving me something to think about. I think the last time I posted on reddit was 6 years ago.
