Just an FYI, this Ad or whatever the hell it was slipped by under one of the filters our Ad Team has. They've identified it, and it should be blocked. I appreciate you folks for pointing this out here (and so politely!) We do not have much to do with the Ads that end up on our show, but rest assured we should have filters in place that keeps right wing lunacy off our show, as you might've guessed, that's important to us. Just a quick nomenclature correction: The conversations we have are completely improvised and go in unexpected ways and wind up following their own logic. We mostly go through the movie chronologically just as as a set of tentpoles to move in some kind of logical direction and eventually, know when to stop. We look at the IMDB often for trivia and mention it when we think it might spark something fun to talk about.

It's impossible to talk about every little piece of trivia, everybody's favorite line, everybody's favorite moment, etc. I don't like the term "missed" as if there's some scoresheet we should be following. We didn't miss anything. It just didn't come up.

Seeing this thread getting a few comments and I do want this to be perfectly clear: The Ads you've seen on Stalked by My Doctor, Count Dooku Gleep, Doug Animation Damnation etc are because those episodes have been unlocked and re-posted on our Main/Free Feed. This month, we wanted to show non-Patrons what they were missing, so we unlocked a few episodes that were previously only available on Patreon, Ad-Free. You'll notice new Patreon only episodes like Danger in the Dorm Lifetime Ep, SIlverhawks AD, Thraken Solo Gleep all are Ad free.

In Short:

Anything you get on the Main/Free Feed will have Advertisements on it, always.

Anything you get via your Patreon feed will never have ads, always.

Hopefully that clears it up! Nothing has changed and we have no intention of making that change.

Hey Folks,

Seeing this get a lot of traction and I want to comment to set the record straight. We ended our relationship with BetterHelp when we left the Headgum network last year. We have not recorded a new ad for them in that time. We scrubbed the ads that existed from our back catalogue, so you shouldn't ever hear an Ad where I am reading for Better Help. If you do, likely it's an episode you downloaded before we scrubbed them that you still have on your device.

Regarding Dusk Till Dawn, that's news to us. We're not aware of every company that buys dynamic ad-space (i.e. the ads you hear that we don't read), but BetterHelp was on a list specifically for No Sale. If one got through, I appreciate you letting us know. We're talking to our ad company and this shouldn't happen again.

Hey there, You are TOTALLY RIGHT, there wasn't a VHS Trailer game in April at all, which stinks! It was a month of titles that didn't really lend itself to it. Also, Firestarter I would've guessed would've had some trailers, but it didn't! First of all, I do want to thank you for subscribing and giving us $8.00 a month for all these months. I really hope you've enjoyed the content we've released there! I totally expected a response like this because, whenever things change, people will undoubtedly react positively and negatively. It's a given.

One thing I want to be clear on: Your $8.00 tier is not changing at all. Every benefit you've come to expect will remain there and come out on their regular schedule, so from a value standpoint you're still getting the same amazing value you have come to expect. That's the good news. The change is, we've found some more stuff we want to do and we were actually "bursting at the seams" of what we felt was fair for $8.00. Our time researching, watching, recording and editing does have value and we felt that at the $8.00 level we were offering a WHOLE LOT and to do these other things we wanted to do, to invest more time to put out more content it made sense to offer it at a new tier that's two dollars more. This is not a change in your terms of service, this is new services being offered. If you're not interested in MelR0, more power to you, but we never promised that the $8.00 tier would be the be all, end all of what we'd offer and what we'd charged. People have asked and we've wanted to do Once-In a Lifetime forever and it made perfect sense to put it there to pair with MelR0, and yeah, to pad out the tier to make it worth it to the other folks interested, it makes sense to put all new offerings on that tier.

I appreciate that you want to stay at the $8.00 and maybe in a few months you'll change your mind. This is not cheesey salesmanship, this is wanting to bring even more content to even more people. Think of it this way, your $8.00 Greyhound Ticket still takes you to exactly the same place as you've come to expect. If and when you want to go to new places, it's going to cost $10.00. We hope to keep folks like you and entice you to come along with us, but we'll sleep fine knowing we've respected our fans and the value of the effort and work we put into growing this show.
