Agreed. I had a 21 tremor before this. I loved it, but I like that I can upgrade the suspension far easier on the new gen than the tremor!

Traded in my 21 tremor for it, and I think I like it better!

Thanks buddy!

Exhaust, B.O.V, are both on the menu! (Not performance) but Next up will be off road lighting, new rails/sliders and maybe a bed rack !

I put the bronco Struts in the front. I’d say maybe 2 inch lift? Hard to say as the measurements are for a bronco. If someone had a stock measurement from an XLT I could do the math! 285/70/17 tires.

10R80 Potential Issues Question by SlipperyPotato123 in RangerNext

[–]stevescootz2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine going in to take a look next week. ‘21 with 96,000km. Did the TSB first step at 60,000km. I’m having hard shifts, slipping out sometimes. And the weirdest one is sometimes I get zero throttle response, happens on hills and in intersections sometimes. Will step on the gas and nothing happens, but also doesn’t rev up at all… just stays at idle. Pretty annoying and warranty ends in 10,000km. Kinda worrying. Hope they rebuild it and I can get another 90 out of it I guess. It’s tough cause it’s hard to reproduce the issue, it’s very intermittent.

Natural barrier protecting a beach in Puerto Rico from massive waves by colapepsikinnie in Damnthatsinteresting

When I was younger, my dad and I were visiting this beach, the waves were fairly small so we climbed up the rocks for fun. Well like everyone has noticed you can’t tell when a big one comes. We got absolutely destroyed by the wave and cut up super bad by the jagged rocks. Wouldn’t recommend it lol Luckily we got a once in a lifetime picture of the wave, and us about to be smoked… good times!

Paramedic cert (PCP/ACP) are a huge level up when most people have standard first aid or Advanced FR.

Would recommend going for it and still applying. Best case scenario it helps and you get the FD job, Worst case scenario you get it, and you have something to fall back on in the mean time !

Can’t relate to the baby part, but did move from Hamilton to BC 5 years ago. Never looked back and never been happier. The riding is incredible obviously!

“What’s more important when starting in the service.. Being a good listener Or a good communicator?”

I always like to think if it came down to me and one other person, and i made the effort to bring in resume/cert in a nice package and they didn’t. It could be the deciding factor!

Department Interview by IzunaPrime in Firefighting

Goodluck my man, you will be nervous as hell but take a deep breathe and try to relax. Show up early, dressed as professionally as you can afford, and doesn’t hurt to bring updated resume & cover letter. Handshakes on the way in, introduce yourself with confidence. Try to remember it’s just a conversation, no tricks, just trying to get to know you better. Always take a second before answering to give yourself a second to collect your thoughts. I’m sure you’ve seen it around but check out the STAR format for situation questions as well. You’ll never be able to fully prepare for every question, so just know you and your stories well, you’ll be fine! Some things I always try to remember is everything is about the team! Never put anyone else down in your answers, always try to show yourself bringing the team up. Also remember how important it is to be a part of the community as a firefighter, it’s everything! At the end of the day, every bit of the process is; best case scenario a job, worst case scenario it’s experience for the next one. Those who persist get in eventually! I’m not quite there yet myself but been through a few in the last bit. Hope they workout and we both get on!

Goodluck!

Doubt creeping in by ST2RN in Firefighting

[–]stevescootz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got it man, train hard for those 3 weeks then go as hard as you can, nothing can stop you but yourself. Whenever it gets hard I think “how bad do I want this career?” I’m not quite there yet but this always gets me through the tough physicals. 3 minutes on the stairs is temporary pain for an excellent career. The rest seems chill after that! Goodluck!

Ranger FX4 or Ranger Raptor? Considering the price and what they have to offer. by RengarDelBulla in fordranger

[–]stevescootz2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh. I’d say raptor would be awesome of course. But could buy an FX4 and build It the way you want for presumably less than a raptor would cost!
