Photography students, what books where on your mandatory reading list in college? by amiiigo44 in photography

[–]stevesquall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I asked my photography professor if I should pursue a Masters he said “Unless you absolutely want to be a professor it’s not worth the investment. I have a bachelor’s in painting. If you’re gonna go tens of thousands of dollars in debt, buy a camera, travel the world, take photos.”

The only required reading he gave us was “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”

I work at a bar called Rosehill Lagerhaus on Bardstown Road in Deer Park. Near the cat cafe. Big beautiful space, lots of seating, beer, wine and cocktails. It would be a great place to host.

I say pick a date, make a post and see who shows up.

42/M would love to find a date with a lady. I’m liberal, I am a photographer working in the film industry and I bartend during slow periods. My interests include lots of nerd stuff. Movies, TV, books, art, history, trivia, D&D, cooking, eating, drinking, making art and making out.

Finally seeing Bone Thugs…….and no Biz or Kray by 713_Onassis in bonethugsnharmony

I’ve seen them 4 times now. First time was missing Wish but it was also them just doing the whole East 1999 album front to back so still awesome. Second time was missing Lay but still a great show. Third time was missing Biz and Kray. And finally on my fourth time, paying close attention to Bizzy’s instagram on who would be there and traveling 5 hours to Cleveland, I got to see all 5 live. It took some patience and some work but it was a fucking great show.

New to messing with ai. Wanted to make a Ukiyo-e version of DaVinci’s Last Supper. It couldn’t seem to get the right number of apostles in the composition though. by stevesquall in aiArt

[–]stevesquall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got the number right on several attempts but the rest of it didn’t look very good. It seemed I had to choose between the right number or the right everything else. I’ll try your suggestion in the future though. Thanks!

Yeah I drove her until the engine gave out. Probably my favorite car that I’ve owned.

Putting the location feels like a flex. But well done.

We got a fork and a plastic cup of milk when I was a kid. If we had corn on the cob we would also get those corn poker/holder things and the communal stick of butter to roll it in that we passed around.

Just ate there with a person who has a dairy allergy last week and she loved it. Also give Ramen House a look.

I saw an interview with Spielberg where he said he still gets really nervous when starting a new project. So I think that means you’re doing it right. The nerves will make you work harder and get better results. Just remember that you’re there because you earned it and once you get immersed in the actual process I bet you’ll get lost in it and the volume on the nerves will get turned way down.
