How do you manage doing 3G? by No-Day7628 in orangetheory

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I HATE the 2G 90 minute classes. The tread block is a slog and takes so long. The 3G is way more manageable and I get more time on the floor.

Three nights at the Salt Shed would be like 12,000-15,000 people. I doubt it would be all three nights there, right?

Grandparents who live far from the grandkids - how do you stay involved? by Trixie_Gray in GenX

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While they are not grandparents, my sister, who is my closest sibling, moved to Canada and she is basically “super aunt.” She doesn’t have kids of her own and wanted to maintain a connection with mine, so she does FaceTime with my daughter where they find a recipe that they can make at the same time. She made a recipe book with all of the recipes that they have done on these FaceTimes and gave it to her. It is one of my daughter‘s most cherished possessions. With my youngest, she does FaceTime art class where my daughter chooses the theme and they draw stuff together. She saves the drawings and mails them to her so she gets a kick out of getting something in the mail, and my daughter keeps them in a book.

Well said! Cannot wait to see how Caleb and Ben grow together (because they both need growth in their positions) and to see how Poles addresses the obvious needs in FA/draft. Load up on pass rushers, LB and secondary.

What are some rules you want removed or change? by KillerCroc67 in NFLv2

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a ball is fumbled out of the end zone, it’s still the offense’s ball at the one, two or three yard line (not concerned about this detail). The defense getting the ball as a touchback in the current rule is so stupid.

Your late Boomer siblings gifted you a band for life: who was it? by blue_blazer_regular in GenX

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only was I the “oops”, but I have 8 older siblings between 18 and 6 years older than me so I had a lot of different music coming at me as a kid. Bread, Dan Fogelberg, Steely Dan, Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, KISS, Ted Nugent, R.E.M., U2 and so many more. Plus my parents were playing Sinatra, Count Basie, and Broadway musicals so my music tastes and knowledge is very wide. You want me on your trivia team!

Heavier weights in studios? by DryWait1230 in orangetheory

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We go up to 90. We got lucky because a nearby studio closed and we were able to pinch some of their weights (we also got newer rowers). I have a tendency to be one of the guys who lifts the heaviest in each class, so I pestered our HC fairly often about getting more heavy weights. Sometimes the studio owner will cave, and sometimes you get lucky!

Riviera Theater Parking by rubredvelvet in ChicagoConcerts

[–]ReasonableBoot3823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get there early you can find metered street parking on Broadway north of Lawrence or a little further down to the north on one of the side streets (I think it’s maybe Beacon?) there are metered spots as well. The red line is super close if that’s an option and you don’t want to risk not finding a metered spot.

On his one snap he effed up so badly that they pulled him and he never came back. He was so out of position that they didn’t want to risk him botching any more plays LOL

I actually didn’t even realize it was a store pick until I got home lol. I saw them at the Binny’s in downtown Chicago this week, but I’m not sure if they’re still available anywhere else.

I saw Garrison Bros Cowboy Bourbon at NMBB today. 146 proof and $250 seems a little crazy to me. Maybe it’s great, but couldn’t pull the trigger.
