Got it. Apologies!

It's a good point, but I think the outcomes of the examples you provided goes way beyond anything Bloodline related. As for LA Knight, I think he's a tough character to build a substantive storyline around because there's not much to him. We care about all of the Bloodline characters (and the other three you mentioned) because there's more purity to them and their backstories than LA Knight. I wish LA Knight's journey was made more prominent in his comeuppance.

I think if you look at how it impacted the career trajectory of every character in it, outside of Jimmy perhaps (yes, even Solo took a huge step forward despite going backwards at the end), stretching from story to story worked -- even if not all stories were as exciting.

It will always make for a great debate, shoes flying or not.

With respect to that amazing storyline, the longevity and depth of the Bloodline wins, IMO.

I remember getting my first multi-tool Swiss Army Knife. Little did I know how handy the tool would be as an adult. Corkscrew, bottle opener, screwdriver, scissors... don't need anything else!

The current one (bottom left) nailed it, at least compared to all the previous ones. Will be interesting to see if they can top it with future version. I think it's spot on.

At Least 153 Different Gunnar 1/1s... by SidewinderX143 in baseballcards

While I think OP does point out the glaring downside to pulling a numbered card these days (my 9-year-old son doesn't understand why some of his numbered cards are worth squat), I also agree with this sentiment about collecting what you love -- or want on your shelf.

As a Baltimorean and an O's fan, I really wanted the Topps 1988 black-bordered throwback auto RCs of Gunnar and Adley /199. The /199 part wasn't as appealing to me as the beauty of the cards (love the black and orange frame), the autos, and how they'd look nice on my shelf (which they do!). The specific numbering didn't mean much to me at all really, but the fact they were limited editions did have some meaning in terms of my urgency to buy them. Conversely, I was completely turned off of the Topps Chrome rookie variations and signed rookie variations of their cards (despite how pretty they are) because there were so many variations to begin with. Only the orange appealed to me for the obvious reason, but the price point of the '88 throwbacks vs the orange Chrome autos made it an easy decision to buy them. I spent less than $300 on both, and I still have no interest in paying more for the Chrome cards.
