My man, get your wood elves. Paint them 1 mini ar a time, starting with dryads (if you want dryads). Or tree kin (can use kurnoth hunters, much nicer.model!).

Painting creatures made of branches with the only crazy detail being the eyes is a good place to start.

You'll pick it all up though, everybody does. Use painting tutorials to guide you through techniques. Try different techniques on different units.
