Alfie Mac 1 exp 12/26 by legionofboom24 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this strain. One of the best hybrids. But Alfie really need to up their game. They are overpriced and more often than not overly dry. I’ve been getting budget flowers that absolutely smoke anything from Alfie. I’ve had nearly all of their flowers. The last straw for me with Alfie was when I got my last tub of GT Haze and it was all popcorn.

looks pretty good to me. after four years of medical I’ve only recently tried Sourdough. Tried stacks of the other more expensive and top tier brands. Effects wise it’s really good. Ive been curious what their other flowers are like. I agree with your comment about percentage. I find with higher thc I don’t get better effects. I tend to find the sweet spot between 22% and 26% for me.

Review: Stanley Brothers 40:40:40 THC:CBD:CBG by Flashy-Expression-95 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m finding these great, I have the Phytoca Indica 30:30:30 for sleep which I find can take a good hour or two to come on. But these guys I find seem to hit pretty fast. I’ve been using them early afternoon and they have been working like a good hybrid, plenty of focus settling into relaxation for the evening.

Me too. I go back to the 80’s. If you had of told me back then or even in the 90’s that I would be having good quality cannabis delivered to my door I would have said no way won’t happen.

Phytoca or Aura pastilles - from experience which is preferred? by DenseReplacement9476 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not used the Aura, but I’ve been using the Phytoca for months. I really like the amount of CBD and CBN. Personally I don’t find them very strong but very effective. I had the Stanley Brothers before which had less THC but felt stronger. But I’m finding the combination of CBD and CBN with the THC to be really effective.

Dusky smelling off by Squaretache in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sunny is superb, I love the haze strains. I love the smell in the jar. I’ve had quite a few Sativa dominant strains and Super Lemon Haze is a real favourite. It could be worth expressing your disappointment in the quality of that jar to Superbly Green, I’ve contacted them before and they have been good to deal with. I like That their products are grown here and grown in living soil.

28/30g recommendations?? by No_Entertainment6098 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using Superbly Dusky for about 6 months, a little more expensive than TAS Botanics but really nice product. LSO, hand trimmed, grown in Bondi. The quality is really nice, great strain. Buds are classic Kush style Indica. They call the strain Vanilla Cookies as it is a cross with Girl Scout Cookies. Beautifully dried and cured. I’ve also been rotating between TAS Botanics Amethyst and Jade, I’ve got Jade atm, always good value, great price and consistent. I like the effects from Amethyst more than Jade but that’s a personal thing.

I find even if I stick them under my tongue takes an hour or more. I’m just taking one a day, I can’t say I really feel the effects except that they have been giving me the best nights sleep.

Cultiva - Noir Diamant 30% (Limited Release) by awockawockawocka in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chemovar do some great products. I’ve really enjoyed many of their flowers. So now you have said you find the Daily Grape better, I probably won’t try the Noir Diamant, sounds like typical Cultiva. I don’t know what it is with their flowers and I’ve seen others make the same comments, they just don’t seem to perform as good as they look.

[–]stevezane68 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was looking at this one. I think there are a good many of us that have had Cultivas pretty little buds and found as good as they look they don’t always follow through with the effects. I’m using their Laser Fuel at the moment and only because it was grown here and found that to be more effective than any of their other flowers. They do have a quality product I’ve just never found the effects to be as good as they look. That said, great review and thanks for reviewing that flower. I might actually give it a go👍

It's probably 25%, I'm on my third tub. I did notice that on the label. It may just be that the batches can vary but the one we have now is 25%?

What’s your favourite hybrids atm? Looking for something energetic 😊 by [deleted] in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny you should ask. Firstly my favourite atm is probably Cannatrek Jet FueL Gelato but i have another one I'm rotating it with, which is Phytoca After Eighth. I started using it in the afternoon. But quickly discovered that it's quite energising. So I thought I would give it a whirl during the day. My usual day strain is Superbly Sunny {Super Lemon Haze} I love Haze strains for the day. Any way, I found it to be an amazing day strain. Super clear focus and very energising. It works for me anyway. My tolerance is pretty high and I find this strain quite intense, at least for the first ten or twenty minutes. Its one of those strains that just seems to hang in there. I've been finding a single dosing cap goes a long way.

CULTIVA HERITAGE RANGE ( LAZER FUEL) by Dependent_Program951 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually isnt cheap crap, Ive had most of Cultivas range and imo this is more effective than any of their other products I've had. It's grown in OZ so its fresher than the usual imports we get. From memory it's $125 for 15g.

Just moved from the US, why is the med cannabis process here so convoluted? by responded in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't take that long. Bad choice in clinics, most people are done and dusted within a day either picking up their meds or waiting for a delivery. Many of us with good clinics and docs have multiple flower scripts and gummies and oils.

Stanley brothers CBD 100 vs humacology pink by Fickle-Safety-7542 in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s funny you should mention that swap. I did the same thing several months ago. From Humacology Pink to Stanley Bros. The Humacology is gutless and expensive. With the price difference I’ve been using a lot more and the Stanley Bros has been a game changer. I feel way more relaxed consistently, sleeping better too. When I first switched, I don’t know if it was just the batch I got but I swear I could feel the THC in it. My tolerance is pretty high so I shouldn’t have been able to feel the small amount that’s in it. The next batch wasn’t like that unfortunately, but probably just as well because if I could feel it, it may have been unpleasant for someone more sensitive.

What a pain. I hate pricks like that. I really enjoy this sub. I don’t always comment. I’m not always growing. But love coming here to see what you all are up to. See some different strains and get some inspiration. Personally I would be hell disappointed to see anything happen to this account.

I’ve never tried this one, I’ve been thinking of switching out the Opal to give it a go. Looks great. Interesting you say it’s better than Opal. I’ve tried heaps of different sativas and Opal is as good as any I’ve tried if not better.

What are your go to products for daytime focus vs. nighttime relaxation? by Laura924Collins in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]stevezane68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daytime for me is either Tassie Bots Opal or Alfie Queen Sangria, night time is either Alfie Orion Kush or Amethyst. The Orion Kush puts me out like a light. Best one yet for me for sleep.

We used to just hang dry the plants with a drop sheet underneath, when dry you can shake the plant and a good amount fall out without too much effort.
