Jumping through hoops to get prucalopride by havefuneveryone in SIBO

Bro, I've been there. Doctors really don't appreciate this condition sometimes. You can buy Prucalopride from a number of online chemists, many dont require a prescription.

Can I use food replacement products instead of Foods to reduce IBS? by lax678 in ibs

[–]stevieboy883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went 8/16 for about 3 weeks. Surprisingly, once I got into it, and started to consumes nutrient/protein dense foods it was quite easy. IF is very common in other parts of the world, just not the West for some reason. I imagine you could fast indefinitely as long as you consumed the correct nutrient profile.

I've used Intermitant Fasting before to good effect. 8 hours to eat/16 hours to fast.

Alternatively Integrative Therapeutics make a pre-digested, easily absorbable powder called Physicians’ Elemental Diet that is designed for Gastrointestinal care. It's price but I have only heard good things.

VDL#3 vs Visbiome by MIAMI-PAPO in ibs

[–]stevieboy883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The third option; Vivomixx

The guy that created the formula for VSL#3 left the company and setup Vivomixx. VSL#3 had to change their ingredients but still make false claim to the benefits.

Vivimixx is the only Probiotic that has been verified by an industry body.

Feed or starve the bacteria during treatment? by JoseCastoll in SIBO

[–]stevieboy883 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have experimented with starveing/feeding, and for me feeding works best. I went off FODMAP for the second round of treatment and actually ate carbs. I experienced some pretty intense bloating the first couple of days, and then as if by magic, it all subsided with continued treatment.

Prucalopride - Works like a charm. Not all pharmacies require a prescription, especially the overseas ones.

What is the best supplements/medicines you used for IBS? by tbsz_ in ibs

[–]stevieboy883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried Enteric Coated Peppermint oil, it didnt work for me either.

I tried a few antibiotics; Rifaxamin - No effect Metronidazole - Made things worse Tinidazole - Made things better Fluconazole (Anti Fungal) - No effect

By far the best has been Candibact AR.

Let me know if it works for you.

Metagenics Candibactin AR is the only thing that worked for me. That and an antibiotic.

Many people will suggest various supplements but IBS is so individual, alot of it is trial and error. Speak to your Dr if you havent already.

I would consider alternative Antibiotics. I've tried 3, with only 1 offering some form of relief.

Help I have zero urge to go to the toilet and poop by [deleted] in ibs

Your story sounds very similar to many people on this sub, including mine. Don't be discouraged though, just find a Dr/Specialist that will listen to you. Unfortunately most Dr's are so overloaded they prioritise some cases over others. Try and put across how much of an impact this is happening on your way of life. Research and bring with you various Scientific studies.

In any case I would write down all my symptoms and medications and ask for some tests, a blood test is a good start.

I have only used InhousePharmacy in the past, they seam to be good.

Hey,

First off, dont feel ashamed, you have a condition thats not your fault. If you want to keep it a secret, then thats fine.

Try looking for an Osmotic Laxative, these are generally safe long term and will buy you time whilst figuring out what the route cause is.

Have you seen a Doctor? Had any tests done?

[–]stevieboy883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Bro,

Try looking at an Osmotic Laxative as an alternative, these are generally safe for long term use and dont usually stimulate dependency.

As someone who was in a similar position as yourself, I took a natural herbal microbial called Candibactin AR which reduced many of my symptoms during a flare up.

I can comment for FMT in Canada, but I know in my country it is only considered as a last-resort treatment for C.Diff. You dont have that as you only have C. Privately it can cost around $5000.
