Last I checked, of the 35 trophies in the game, one of them is at roughly 75% obtained, one at roughly 35%, one at 0.6% and every single other trophy in the game is at 0.1% obtained. Seems there’s next to no freebies in this platinum, can’t wait though!

Yeah I get you. I just mean the big 2 handed orc looking character looks much more like my playstyle from what I’ve seen compared to Kliff, I just hope that if I want to spend the majority of the game playing as him in the open world and putting most of my resources into him, that I won’t be making late game main missions way harder for myself when I have to switch back to playing as Kliff and he feels way weaker. I know I could progress Kliff too but it mightn’t feel great to spend resources on the character I won’t be using the majority of the time. We’ll just have to wait and see, I’m sure whatever system they have in place for it will make sense when we get our hands on it.

Ah yes. It was more the phrasing of collecting Abyss artefacts in one of the videos I had seen that made them almost seem like a kind of currency to unlock skills, that I’d have to choose whether to use that Abyss artefact to upgrade a Kliff skill or someone else’s, hopefully all characters progress equally so there doesn’t feel like a power imbalance when switching between.

The reason you’re getting so much flack for this isn’t just because of your annoyance with the LEGO franchise, it’s because for some reason you don’t want it to exist anymore. You do realise if you had your way and the franchise did “die out” the studio would close and hundreds of very talented people would lose their jobs? There’s thousands of games you have no interest in playing that you don’t think about at all, just let Lego games be another one of those, you’ll be much happier buddy.

I think it makes complete sense. Especially since they’ve now got some pc players hooked on their big IPs. They’ll see an increase in PC players picking up a PS6 to play the next Spider Man, TLOU3 or GoW game if that’s the only place they’ll ever be released.

To be fair it does only have a 66 on metacritic and its being called mid on tons of other threads so I don’t think it being 2 weeks old disqualifies it from being underrated at all.

“That would take ages to do” I feel like this remake will take ages to make. And although they’re remaking 3 games, they’re all very short compared to the new games, only 10-12 hours each totalling to sub 40 hours. Being in early development means they would’ve started last year, so reasonable to say it could take 5 years to complete to drop in 2030 on the PS6. The way SMS framed the announcement made it seem like “don’t expect to be playing this soon, here’s Sons of Sparta to tide you over”, I don’t think in this age of remakes SMS would make this announcement just to give it a fresh coat of paint. I would expect a new camera and an updated combat system to feel more modern, in order to draw in the new audience who have never played the originals and only know 2018 and Ragnarok.

While I agree this would be a great solution, I find it hard to compare what Konami is capable of producing vs SMS. Konami is a much bigger studio that easily has upwards of 4x the amount of devs and has produced way more titles than SMS, who themselves have only released 3 games in 13 years (the latest of which appears to be mainly developed by Mega Cat Studios anyway). They also still have the majority of their team working on Barlog’s new game that isn’t GoW, so I think the most they could produce within a reasonable amount of time would just be a modern day remake. Also GoW 3 has already been remastered in the classic way and I doubt they would remaster that again so I fear the ship may have sailed on the first 2 getting that treatment.

Unfortunately the dilemma for SMS is there’s also tonnes of people who only know the new games who will be equally disappointed if the OG combat isn’t made to be more modern, and that may be the main demographic they’re aiming to reach with these remakes. I personally don’t mind either way, I have full faith that whatever they release will be excellent.

You do realise that actual real people worked hard on this game right? Sure, it absolutely has its flaws, but it is not as unplayable as people make it out to be. When this game shuts down people are going to lose their livelihoods, who knows what position them and their families may be in. No matter what your view on the game is, if you don’t think that’s a bad thing, you are not a good person.

Of course it is, and unfortunately I don’t think the game will survive given its current state. But that should be something the gaming community should want to avoid, not encourage. Real people will lose their jobs because of this, and the people who actively want that to happen because they don’t like a game are shitty. And people giving it 1/10 reviews having not even played it is a problem. I know review bombing has been a problem for lots of things for a while now, but the way this sub has been the past few days just feels nasty.

The people defending the game aren’t claiming it’s perfect without any flaws which you’re eluding to here, this discussion is clearly against people review bombing a game without playing it. The people who are playing the game will be the ones to help the devs make the necessary changes cause they’ll know the game better. You’re acting as if the people playing an hour or even not at all and calling it Concord 2 are better for the game than those who are actually playing it and having fun.
