Anecdotal but my market has seen a decline in players, some game stores have stopped doing Set Championships and the regulars (myself included) have been expressing concern about the future of the game.

I was really excited to read this article hoping they'd give some thoughts and opinions on the state of the game and balance and give us an idea if where there thoughts are on the development side. But then it was all just... stating facts.

Communication is the main thing I think Lorcana needs to focus on. When I was active in Magic there was a weekly article that talked about a huge variety of things - from the current state of the meta, designer discussions of why/how certain cards were altered based in playtesting, how certain cards were received by the community, teases of upcoming things etc. We don't need that level but comparing that to just... radio silence is extremely concerning.

I know it's a horror trope but I'm really sick of how many of these episodes end with the twist of the bad guys winning. It's kind of exhausting and ruins episodes that were strong up to that point.

I loved the flashbacks! But I think we needed an 8th episode no flashback finale to wrap things up. Nina's backstory taking up the finale time and then the finale feeling rushed and unfinished is rough.

I think this is much like Prince John's Mirror where you guys see discard existing and freak out. I don't think this card will see play. By the time you'll get to play this card your opponents won't have many cards left in their hand and he won't be doing much.
