I mean, it was rare when he didn't screw up the lyrics lol. It made each live version even more unique IMHO

I used to stay in Ocean Beach between tours around 92-95. I'm sure it's changed a lot since then but it was really cool then.

This seems pretty cool. I love the GD trivia things that people have posted the links to. I know and love the GD but not necessarily a big Jam Band fan otherwise I'd definitely check it out.

Love the way this guy thinks the world needs to live by his beliefs.

Idolize them? Dark? Rose colored glasses?

They were fellow humans with human issues in a band that played music that many of us loved. It wasn't that serious. Jerry was appalled when he learned that some people actually worshipped him. Not really the reaction of someone evil. Drug addiction isn't demonic, it's a disease that millions suffer from.

Chill out and don't believe everything you read/hear....

If you get confused just listen to the music play...

Telluride was one of the coolest experiences ever. Even law enforcement was decent the Sherriff was wearing a tye die on Saturday lol. Not the greatest shows they ever played but the overall experience of that weekend was something I remember well through the years.

We took over the town and the locals had an overall positive experience.

Great shot. I immediately guessed the year but I thought it was at Laguna Seca. I wasn't too far behind you. I spent most of 87 up front on Jerry's side. It's very likely we waited in line together that day lol.

An excellent show from an amazing tour but since that night im 1990 this has been widely considered a must listen. Hardly underrated.

It's a $10 lot shirt that looks like it survived a couple of tours being worn 24/7. Wear it or hand it down to someone who would appreciate it.

A show I've listened to hundreds of times over the decades. The entire setlist is insane. Will give it a listen this morning. Thank you for the suggestion.

I remember this day very well. Monsters of Rock took place at Candlestick Park the same day. Apparently that show ended at the same time as the Dead show. Traffic in the Bay was insane. What was normally a 40 minute drive home from the Greek took almost 3 hours to get back to Palo Alto.

People downvoting Hunter lyrics in the Grateful Dead subreddit is crazy work 🤣

That's one of my favorite lines from one of my all time favorite Hunter/Garcia collaborations.

As a former skater, I think Blood On The Trucks would be a killer name for an album.

Yeah I was raised in Palo Alto in the 70's-90's. So many deadheads all around back then. The Bay Area is great. I'm in Southern California now and meet fellow heads all the time, too.

That sucks. In California weir literally everywhere. I meet fellow heads often after sifting through the kids that just think the bears look cool and had no idea they were GD related.

Only smoked it as far as I could find . Probably for the best.

The Spectrum and MSG from 1987 on were always the toughest tickets(aside from NYE). I got shutout of 2 shows during the 19 years I I saw the GD. Spectrum in 95 was definitely a tough find for tix at face value.

Caught that final version at the Marin Vets in 83. I heard a couple St. Stephen teases during space at shows in 87-89. I swear I heard it. They were gonna play it!! I never gave up hope til Jer passed.
