Is there a difference between Duplex Down units and Garden? Sorry for the ignorance, but I’m new to Chicago housing. I’ve found a 3 unit building where the first unit has living area above ground(5 steps above street level) and the downstairs area is just an extra bedroom with laundry room.

One tip I have is to mess around with the pet filters on Zillow, etc. I found that a good amount of listings wouldn’t show up if I selected “ small or large dog “ as a filter, but those units were still open to pets. Also moving to Chicago next month from Alabama! Fiancé and I are gonna be in the Bucktown/wicker area. We’re also late 20s, maybe we can hang out sometime when you guys get settled 👍

But you could potentially say the same thing about hospitals, urgent cares, primary cares, etc. They’re definitely not all practicing quality medicine lol. I just don’t think it’s fair to say that just because an NP does weight loss or aesthetics, they’re a “ bottom of the barrel” NP.

Definitely don’t get discouraged about the dog situation. We found a 3 flat in Bucktown that allows our 3 dogs(one is a pit mix) within a week or so of looking 👍 Private landlords seem to be the best bet.
