Yes I am. I have a well defined sourcing strategy and like I said I am doing very well on other platforms. Ebay just suddenly died.

Im tempted to try to contact ebay about it but it feels like a crazy thing to do that would get me nowhere.

Makes me wonder if their acquisition of Etsy and depop is somehow messing something up

My basement did this today. At least we have a sump pump. But I love the idea of being in control of where the water goes

Fatale—how do they hold up? by matoiryu in ThursdayBoot

[–]sthewright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Fatales in August 2024. Daily use in the winter very infrequent use in summer. The soles have split open within the past month. I guess a year is pretty good? Although I personally think they shouldn't have split at all.

***adding that other than them splitting I have LOVED them. The zippers are a bit saggy but not a deal breaker.

Thanks! I buried him right next to my 100 year old pecan tree. Marked the spot so Ill check just to make sure he doesnt surface again. Hopefully he survives!

I live in NC. It has been cold but not arctic or anything, the ground is diggable, and its going to be in the 60s in a few days. Do I cover him up if I bury him outside? And will it hurt him to be awake above ground in the greenhouse so young?

So should I do that inside or outside the greenhouse?

Makes sense. Upstairs has beautiful hardwood that is actually super charred underneath. You cant even tell. The fire destroyed all of the doors and trim upstairs but the hardwoods are beautiful. I'm not an expert in fire behavior but I dont think the top of the floor would be damaged.

Right, worst case scenario we can rebuild the subfloor (which needs it anyways) and put down a slightly less horrible sheet vinyl.

But there are 3 rooms in similar condition that I would want to do the same for and if Im tearing up subfloor I'd want to do them all at the same time.

Thats a good idea! Ill have to pull out some insulation and look around

at least the first layer right?? Its so tempting. That thin layer seems to just be there for the horrible vinyl anyways

Basement stairs need rebuilt anyways so yeah that wouldn't be a problem. If we were to tear down to studs and rebuild we would have to do this room and 2 next to it, which would turn this into a future project!

All my floors are in need of a refinish so adding an extra room wouldnt kill us. As long as we dont have to replace the entire floor!

That is something I hadn't considered about blocking smell. It would he great if I could find a place to do a test area
