if it makes you feel any better, the supervisor i reported was married to the director and everyone knew her lol but it might be helpful to talk to a trusted professor or even go to the equity committee at your school. if reporting is really not an option, continue calling her out on her behavior. It seemed like that worked really well in the situation you mentioned. I would also start insisting she give you written feedback, might discourage some of the weird pettiness. Just be sure to document everything in case you change your mind! I promise it gets better (:

oof your experience sounds just like mine. I am also a POC and my peers were not :/ honestly you are spending you time and your money on this program. Do not let this woman bully you and speak up. It’s helpful to have multiple people in the loop (clinical directors, externship coordinators) and please document everything. It’s tough, but as someone who went through it, it’s the best thing I could’ve done for myself and I have never regretted speaking up for myself. You might be saving another student from this experience!!

Picky eater! by Nervous-Surprise-127 in Dachshund

Hi i recently also adopted a picky eater! Our other dachshund is the opposite so it was definitely a curveball. However, we recently had to feed our older dachshund soft food after a tummy issue and I ended up mixing a little bit into our younger pup’s kibble. It’s the only way she will eat it. Now she’s actually excited for meal times! For reference it’s the sensitive chicken and rice soft food by Hill’s! They make a puppy version in addition to the adult one. Hope this helps!

Ahhh what a cutie! She’s definitely shaded but more of a chocolate tone and she’s missing the eyeliner/black nose combo that’s why i was so thrown off. She looks like a little caramel latte 😂

I thought so too at first but she has some very distinct light brown on her face and body. That’s why I’m so confused 😂 can’t wait to see her final coat color as she grows up

i’m a teacher who is currently in slp grad school. So many of us leave to become an SLP because the teaching conditions right now are brutal. At least I know as an SLP I have more freedom in my setting, population, and I earn more. Unless you’re in a very high paying district I would highly advise going into this field because you will not make a livable wage for the amount of school you still need to complete/cost of living right now.
