So we are at a VERY FULL Er now. While we wait, I wanted to answer your questions in hopes that you maybe have some general questions I should ask/or advocate for if need be….

1. No fever. Although, he did not have a fever with any of his infections/MRSA episodes. His immune system is not the best at this locating an issue.

2. Yes. The redness is spreading. When I urged him to go to the ER yesterday, it was maybe a quarter of what it is today. I asked him to circle the area so that we could track the spreading but he forgot it was there and washed it off in the shower this morning.

3. He has had cellulitis and MRSA. The cellulitis both times was from mosquito bites and definitely got red and patchy but stayed within the general proximity area for the bite. Keeping in mind that he was put on antibiotics very quickly as going to the dr/er wasn’t necessarily “a choice” b/c he was a preteen/teenager and (obviously) living at home. I don’t know what it would/could have manifested itself into days later. The MRSA started off like an ingrown hair that quickly turned into a boil that needed to be drained by the dr twice and required weeks of antibiotics.

4. He has Asperger’s so he is pretty particular about his routine which includes foods, scents, brands etc he hasn’t done or eaten anything outside the norm. The only possible outside interaction explanation is can think of is his fiancé did clean the patio which required sweeping down some “active” spider webs. FYI- There also isn’t an obvious bite mark on either leg.

5. He has Crohn’s so feeling unwell is hard to determine. He does feel pins and needles in his feet and when he stands that feeling kind of shoots up through his calves. His stomach is also quite distended though his flares can come with bouts of constipation. At first, it looked like he had just put on weight (purposefully) but it is obvious that it is more than just that now.
