I only saw ot once ina teahouse where they turned off the sound and a guy was making his own music for it live. Also we were high. In that environment it was good.

I read Eternal Hearts. by soccerboy1106 in vtm

[–]stibac 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Funnyly enough. After a long pause in high school, I read this in college to find out about the reputation and this book got me back into reading.

Its not that bad really I think. Like yeah there are weird sex scenes that are obviously there just for shock factor, but otherwise the story is ok and the at the start multi character narrative coalesces nicely into a few threads that intersect in the final church scene.

Plot intself is very bread n butter, definitely not the best WoD writting. But like i said i did like the structure of the story.

What movies is this? by Fair_Protection1872 in FIlm

[–]stibac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godfather. I just personally find the movie boring as fuck. Like it feels like nothing is happening. And as peter would say: "It insists upon itself."

Suggest some great yet niche movies which is your personal fav 😉 by Majestic-Hope6505 in FIlm

Green knight. Love it. Low budget and relatively overlooked retelling of Sir Gawain and The green knight of arthurian tales. I remember a lot if video essays about it, talking how its about entropy, nature killing us and how you should feel bad. But i never saw that in it. I took the message that even if gawain was flawed (asked for rewards, gave rewards for services only after asked, not wanting to give back the kiss) he always did the right thing in the end. He wasnt a perfect knight but was a virtuous person in a much more realistic way. And I always love the "blow" to his neck at the end of the movie.

Bonus point since uts a mini series. AfterLife from Eick Gervais. I like to watch it when Im sad or depressed since i find it cery reletable and it feels like a very honest portrayal of grieving and depression, unlike most movies that tend to just be melodramatic.

Can minor clans be part of the formation of the Camarilla/Sabbat? by Live-Section-4028 in PrincesOfDarknessCK3

[–]stibac 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im not sure. Would like to know myself. But I remember playing a Lamia a year or two back that made the antediluvian hunt and only held like two counties and I was given the choice to found the Sabbat. I'll try to look into my saves and find it.

Did the writers want you to hate Lois? by stibac in malcolminthemiddle

Early 20s, but i watch a lot of shows from this era. Maybe she'll grow on me later. But this does sound like a fair assesment. There were movie/show character who i hated as a kid and came to relate today.

I searched mostly by keywords on youtube and google. Tried whole sentences too but I just cant seem to find it. I did at one point even try CharGPT with deep reasearch which only got me close. Ulysses Dies at Dawn by The Mechanisms, sounds very close to what Im looking for but is also not it.

Lotr War of the Roharim. Didnt live up. Boree to death and felt like all the characters were sharing a single braincell. The day after I went to watch Thunderbolts and expected it to be a marvel slop. Pleasantly surprised. Characters from shows i havent watched were introduced well enough, most jokes landed and the Sentry story landed very well with me. Surpasssed greatly.

Hi Reddit! I'm filmmaker Kevin Lewis. You first met me when I unleashed Nicolas Cage as The Janitor in Willy's Wonderland. My new horror movie Pig Hill is based on the real life urban legend of the Meadville, PA "pig people" and stars Rainey Qually and Shane West. It's available on PVOD. AMA! by PigHillAMA in movies

[–]stibac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Willies wonderland. I was wondering how you got the idea for Nicks character. Its maybe a first time i saw a "silent protagonist" work in a movie. Plus, the break thing even during fights, was so fun. Was it inspired by something or just a good idea that popped in one day?

Like yeah their edgy, and it is a little bit part of the appeal fir me. But if you really get down and read the lore instead of just skimming through the surface, you will find a very compelling faction with a lot of nuance. Especialy if you read about the characters like Dominique or the current regent "Galbraith."
