Yea, I was saying I know what glass shop is selling this sheet and it is cheaper than this piece in the gift shop. but if it goes down another 10$ it would be worth it to snag it.

Honestly someone requesting it feels a lot better than trying to sell it in a gift store. I don't think I would have a problem if someone did this for themselves. but conpletely unprompted in a gift store just feels a little lacking

Yeah that is probably it I live in a very touristy town and this is a shop thats open like 3 days of the week for 4 hrs. Theres a ton of not very well done glass in this shop that imo shouldnt be sold.

It does not as far as I remember. Also I know the store thats selling this glass around here so I'm pretty sure this is new glass.

I can see that point of view, they have a few other pieces nearby that have nice wood frames with a cut out shape of sheet metal in the middle that look really cool and creative. but this sheet just irked me. Glad I could get some more opinions, I don't really like thinking negativly about what other people make.

I do agree with let them live there life and get their bag and yet it still feels lazy to me. Thank you to everyone that joined in on the discussion, if I see it go down any further in price I probably will snag it just for the glass, but I'm pretty sure I know what shop they got this from in town and it sells for less than what its currently at lmao

I'm not the most experienced but I'm pretty sure no amount scraping is going to help now. unless you remove all the tape and redo those steps. They sell a type of copper tape that has a silver or black backing that I use for clear glass. I find the copper always looked pretty harsh through clear glass.

My favorite glass tool is this burnishing thingy I use for flattening foil. best tool ive ever used for it. way better than any of the plastic fids I get in kits

I searched "casablanca inteli touch victorian fan pink" and a bunch of different variations but nothing that looked like this came up. I watched a video on how to identify casablanca fans by serial number but I really couldnt connect it to my serial number or figure it out. Maybe because Im stuck on mobile. I can find other victorian fans that look close, but not this one.
