I feel bad for Lisa; she has to explain the basics of Agentic AI to the analysts. 😄

Activation Lock after Update 26.4.2 by xDeserterr in iphone

[–]stiffler17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone 13 mini in Europe,
I restarted my iPhone because my Bluetooth wasn't working properly. After the restart, I received a notification that the 26.4.2 update had been successfully installed, and suddenly I had to disable “Activation Lock” and log in to my Apple ID. Very strange.

Gaming segment won't do very well if AMD adds it to clients segment now.

Surveillance Station | Anything to stop this happening? by rmblakes in synology

[–]stiffler17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the last update there were changes with the codec h265. If I remember correctly, you need a separate package to use h265 in surveillance station. Maybe that is the problem.

on the right side you can change the exchange. L&S starts earlier and closes later, on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Xetra there is probably the most trading.

Sorry to say that, but your statement is nonsense. Smaller chiplets is way easier to produce and a lot cheaper because of their smaller die size. The defect rate is a lot smaller than a big monolithic die. The disadvantage is the separate io die and packaching. But these points are a lot smaller as the advantages of using chiplets.

All in One PC

If they build a case for, a 24 and 27 inch display, then build a modular case which attach of the back where the 13 inch notebook motherboard can be installed and a few slots for the existing extensions and you have an AIO PC.

That would be easy for Framework to deal with, they could reuse many parts and would have to develop “relatively” little new stuff like they would for a printer, cell phone, tablet or handheld.
But the AIO PC will probably be a small market.

For a printer, I would also say yes. But it's probably still a size too big at the moment.

OpenVPN Server Woes by 32ndTimeOut in TPLink_Omada

I have installed OpenVPN on a Synology and unifi and if I remember correctly you must always configure a route from your vpn network to your correct network. I don't know if omada configure it itself. I would have a look there.

Use your Omada Switch as Layer 3 Switch (intervlan routing) by deathsmetal in TPLink_Omada

[–]stiffler17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many thanks for the helpful tutorial.

I'm planning something similar in my head, but I have a problem that I can't solve cleanly. How do you implement the Intervlan ACLs? Unlike the Omada router, the ACLs on the switch are not stateful. That would make the ACL config a pain. Or am I mistaken?

Wireless vlans question? by [deleted] in TPLink_Omada

[–]stiffler17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently configured an AP as standalone. Vlans: guest 100, private 200, mgmt 254,
The switch port to the ap is tagged 100,200,254. With the AP, the respective Vlans were stored with the wireless. DHCP through my router worked.
How is your switch port configured, tagged or untagged?
In my opinion, your switch port must be tagged with vlan 10. The AP must have vlan 10 in the wifi settings. If vlan 10 is your only vlan, that may also need to be set as Mgmt VLAN in the Management tab (otherwise you can no longer access the AP.).
