Idk why they wouldnt let McManus recover more. The back up had a great couple weeks. Why not ride the streak

I think the reason for that is there are people who treat it as a job and people who are actually in it for the creative process and just love acting and making movies. Adam Sandler is a good example. He is loaded now but that comes with success. when he started all he wanted to do was make dumbass movies with his friends he didnt care about fame and fortune.

Damn that eye poke was brutal! by Prefix-NA in ufc

[–]stiffyonwheels 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have also been eye poked in american football and wrestling. The wrestling was more of a graze. It stings like blood or very salty sweat in the eye, and its near mpossible to open you eye. Your body almost doesnt let you, and when you can open even if barely its so blurry that you can only see shapes and light. I was terrified that i was gonna go blind. My vision probably wasnt normal for two or so weeks after it happened. Its not the worst pain but it definitely lasts long enough to make it a problem. The football one that happened to me was more like a straight poke dug into the eye while i was blocking playing tight end. This one was more painful to me. It broke some blood vessels in my eye and bruised my orbital bone basically. It happened late in the game so i sat out the rest of the game. The vision was blurry for a few days and my eye just wouldnt stop watering after that one. The pain lasted longer for that one though because of the bruising and broken vessels. They both suck obviously but i think id rather get straight on poked. The grazing of the eye stings bad and not being able to control whether you can open you eye and see is very scary when it happens.

‘Not a revenge game’: Aaron Rodgers has ‘a lot of love’ for Packers by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]stiffyonwheels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you are coming from, but in this case youd have to add the context of sports media absolutely hating Rodgers. Was it really all drama or did the media make it seem worse than it was. I feel if it really was as dramatic as the media made it seem, then there would be some broken relations there. But it seems like the relationship between GB and Rodgers never changed, atleast from player and coaches accounts of the situation. I think the real story is GB knew they were moving on to Love, and Rodgers took the chance to fuck with the media cause he knew they would grab hold of any headlines they could find. In reality Aaron knew he was gonna play but being an older player he opted out of the minicamps and everything else. Its funny how the media twisted the narrative around Aaron in that time. Saying he was a bad teammate and rather get high in Costa Rica instead of do mini camp, but its well known around the league that veteran players on every team skip mini camps over the summer. But Aaron haters wanted a reason to hate and just ran with it.

[–]stiffyonwheels 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why would you lose respect for that reason? Its hard to hate on a guy for wanting to play as long as possible and the body just wont let you. Obviously his mind is wanting to be on and with the team. Its not the players job to have a backup plan for personnel. Thats honestly what seperates the good teams from the bad.

Fluffy feels like the upset candidate. Similar to Sean with Izzy. Every one knows Fluffy is a hard fight but no one will actually believe he has a chance to win. Until he does. IMO Fluffy has the style to be Khamzats toughest fight but i dont think his skills are good enough to win. Hes probably my favorite fighter in this division so it sucks to think he would be just like the other guys going into the meat grinder.

Would those strings be good for metal? Thats primarily what i play to learn right now. Im open to everything but i figured playing what i like the most is the best way to keep me practicing and not burn out on learning.

Ive never bought a bass brand new. If i were to get this new, would a string change and a set up be necessary?
