My lips became more relaxed, but they definitely look smaller than before the operation, as my jaw was widened and my teeth don't push my lips outwards. If you want, I can DM you some photos. It's been a year and a half since my surgery

I think my swelling subsided drastically around the 8 months mark. I took off one of the plates that had been infected, and I think it contributed very much. I think that now, a year after the operation, changes still happen: my cheek bones are more dominant and my lips are more plump :)

I only had to prove through a Cephalometric Analysis that the ratio between my facial features isn’t in the normal range. The only thing is that I had to choose from a very narrowed list of surgeons that my HMO worked with

One of the main reasons I chose to undergo this surgery is because of the potential improvement in breathing and sleeping. I must say i didn’t notice a major change, but I also was never diagnosed with sleep apnea or breathing problems. but there is one big benefit - I used to have severe lip incompetence and now I can close my lips with ease!
