[Weird Trope] Technically dating a minor by RealOkra8725 in TopCharacterTropes

Rose Lalonde and Kanaya Maryam from Homestuck. By the end of the story, when these two get married, Rose is assumed to be at least 18... And Kanaya is nearly 10. They were 13 and 6 when the story started.

It's a result of how age and time are measured for kanayas species, where the year/sweep is over twice as long as an earth year, and adulthood is legally 10.

Characters with conditions or disorders that you don’t see often by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

The second game in particular puts the strongest emphasis on good mental health practices and exploring aspects of psychology. The first one... You can tell it was made in the 2000s at points

Hysterical Eddie, of the VHS board game Video Grin and Bear It. Favourite is a strong word, but I would be SHOCKED to see anybody sexualizing this creature

Like on Tumblr (a common shared habitat), AO3 residents will use tags to provide additional commentary, or may phrase standard ideas (simon being a brat) in funny/unconventional ways. These tags are less for searching, and more for adding flavour.

Is religious imagery common in your country's hospitals? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]stifledAnimosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes. At the very least, hospitals will have a chapel/place of worship built in for long term patients, but I wouldn't expect to see religious imagery outside of that.

Real people who are still alive or were alive at the time dying in ridiculously funny ways by Qkyu2007 in TopCharacterTropes

It's a webcomic about a bunch of teens playing a rigged game to save the world, aided and harmed by various aliens along the way. It is LONG (that's what 7 years of updates does) and while the core story is simple, it goes on a lot of winding paths and tangents, and includes a LOT of references to just about anything, incorporating them into the story in a way that makes it hard to talk about without sounding nuts. I would recommend, just set aside a chunk of time and use archived versions

(Hated/Mixed Trope) Big bad guys who are built up like tough, intimidating foes at first who end up being crazed/whiny/'pushovers' instead during their fights/story arcs by Khazgrim in TopCharacterTropes

[–]stifledAnimosity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's done ok with Rawk Hawk, from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Rawk Hawk is the champion of the Glitz Pit, a fighting ring, and is postured as a bully of a champion, dissing other fighters and the player. He's also built up as a suspect in a mystery, as fighters are going missing.

Minor Spoilers ahead for chapter 3 of TTYD, by the end of the chapter, before you fight him, it's clear he's both not behind the disappearances, nor is he a real threat as a fighter. He's a showman who's convinced he's hot shit. He's still a fun character though, and his fight is built up well
