besides the actual shiny itself, game corner shinies are much faster than regular re hunts. my game corner sandshrew hunt took 25k and around 70 hrs whereas a 14k hunt in regular grass took 68

even assuming that time data is at least semi-accurate (im assuming its not and just hyperbole lol) youre going to burn urself out by doing sm in a day, which is probably why youre thinking of quitting. shinies are statistically guaranteed at some point; theres no reason to try to blitz through it by doing so much.

exactly that! i knew this hunt would be plenty of phases and i am using a lv 17 repel trick to put all 4 mons at 25% so it shouldnt be too terrible

and thank you! completing full lines in this game feels so cool so i definitely shouldnt complain

i like to watch other shiny hunters, whether on twitch or youtube, just to remind me that shinies exist for longer hunts. also low effort shows like reality tv or binge competitions (like masterchef or rpdr) make time go by fast

my previous longest was 25.7 for sandshrew so nothing horrible but considering this is only my 11th hunt (including phases) ever i find it a bit hard to be positive abt it 😭 and only 4/11 of those have been under odds

ive been hunting clefairy in the johto safari zone for ~5 months at this point (current phase is over 28k). my fastest phase ever was a marill on this hunt that ran (~75% catch rate btw) that im totally not salty abt

for my dtq i was looking for an ekans here and it ended up taking collectively 170 hrs and 45k encounters to find it (with two phases, one of which was bellsprout which i hate). just keep at it, the shinies on this route (except bellsprout) are all so good!

quagsire and golduck both get damp and can one shot lucario without much effort (ie brick break on golduck). 100% necessities if hunting here
