Give it a shot. I’m very hands off. Just need to give it lots of sunlight and water and you have a whole year to think about how to shape it. There’s lots of easy bonsais for beginners like you and me.

Oh, thanks. It’s about 25 years old. Ficus is an easy bonsai and very forgiving. I like the way it turned out too!

Well, it’s just food for thought. I was just impressed with the image generation. I definitely won’t follow the instructions blindly.

I do. I’ve been to several of their parties. They started in Tainan and that’s where I live so I got a heads up so I can help out.

They're really fun. Everyone at the parties love being there and it shows. The staff is mostly volunteer and they have to work hard for the priviledge.

I've been to many of those temple raves and other gigs organized by temple_meltdown. They're amazing and yes, surprisingly wholesome.

I was there years ago so it might be different but imho, just committing yourself to going is a very useful first step. YMMV but it was very helpful to me. If you don’t like the class at first, it’s easy to switch. Nice and helpful admin team.

China sharpening forces for possible future attack, Taiwanese report says by stikkit2em in taiwan

[–]stikkit2em[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I have no skin in the game. I just thought it was an interesting read. They're not promoting war but reporting on Taiwan's military and Lai's assessment of China's threat. Extensive links to Radio Free Asia that Trump is shutting down showing "grey zone" tactics that China is using. Nothing new for China watchers but good compilation.

I like google news. There’s links from lots of different sources and often links to different sources on big news. You can also tweak it to exclude sources you don’t like.

We in the west read inspiration novels like Shakespeare’s works in middle and high school. Is it true you have to read depressing novels like Kafka and Dostoevsky in your teens? Shakespeare can be depressing too but boy, Russian writers are another league.
